Motorsport: Circuit Boats

Something i noticed which would make your guide teams life a little easier would be to change the show title.

On all other guides it comes up as "Circuit Boats Drivers Championship". You could update it to that & drop the "Motorsport: " but you would need to change the genre from Sport to Motor Sport & then it would come up properly in any motor sport search.

Hi Adrian,

thankyou for the suggestion, but I seem to remember (I may be wrong) that we originally had it under just Circuit Boats and someone suggested it should be under Motorsport so we updated it...
I don't have any difficulty with the title, it comes up just fine. The V8 Superboats are under Motorsport as well..might just leave as is for now.
If we need to revisit it later we will.

also meant to say that I have added Motorsport to Circuit Boats...I see that we have Australian V8 Superboats under Motorsport, so it makes sense. Whenever the word Motor is mentioned I immediately think of a car or motorbike....

no one suggested it, it was actually your choice back in December 2023 to add it.

I made a post a little while ago because you can search by genre that Motorsport in the title isnt actually relevant any more.

ie "Night Thunder" vs "Motorsport: Circuit Boats" theres no uniformity in the titling but as long as the shows are all correctly genre tagged then it works.

i went through & made a list of all shows requiring the genre update & all shows that can loose the motorsport in that post.

I'm happy to message back through with these again.

The same goes for "Fishing: " in the title. All of the airing shows now dont use it but the genres are correctly tagged so the search works perfectly. Only 24 shows are titled the old way & i dont think any of those air any more.

Thankyou...I see what you mean...send thru' the list...i'll have a look when I get a bit of spare time (ha ha ha).
Hopefully I can clean it up a bit. Won't worry about old shows....
