Doubled up timers

I noticed something like this in "My Week" the other day, but didn't have the time to investigate.  Today, I noticed it again.  I have TWO timers (both showing as set to record) for Law & Order UK.  Both are exactly the same, for the same time, same episode etc., it is just that there are two of them.  Will be interesting to see if it will record, or one will cancel the other out.  :D  I have also seen exclamation marks for programs for no apparent reason.  I (if I notice in time) usually just reschedule it and then it seems happy.

Looks like it could be the same problem discussed here, but the problem has gone away for me (Beyonwiz DP-Lite i/ACT Guide).

This was a result of the phantom timers mentioned here.

No need to apologise. Many people may not have realised that the 2 issues were related.

Apologies for reactivating a zombie, but I'm seeing this same problem again, notwithstanding the fix mentioned in the comment that Dave linked to above.

I have doubled-up queued series recordings on ABC 1 for The Checkout (ABC1 20:20 Sat Aug 31) and Audrey's Kitchen (ABC1 20:25 Sat Aug 31).

I've left the timers as-is in case any of the IceFolk want to have a look.

Hi Peter,

These duplicate schedules appear to be a bug in what the webpage displays rather than real duplicate timers as there is only 1 schedule for each episode in the system for your account. And as they are still queued your Beyonwiz knows nothing about them yet so it's not a case of the Beyonwiz being temporarily out of sync with the server or reporting back overlapping single timers.

Can you please check on the Mac dashboard widget to see if shows the same thing.
cheers

Hi, Dave, thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

The recordings appear doubled up in the Mac Widget, too.

Since I last posted, the recordings have been synchronised with the Beyonwiz (or, at least, the synchronisation process has been run on them). One of each is now displayed as scheduled in the Web interface, and one of each is displayed with the warning icon, and has had a "Failed Timer" email sent to me. However, neither "scheduled" IceTV recording has actually succeeded in setting a timer on the Beyonwiz, despite the Web page saying that the recording has been scheduled.

One oddity is that when I try to open the Web page entry for one of the failed recordings, the other "scheduled" entry opens. It's not possible, as far as I can tell, to distinguish whether something similar is happening in the Widget display.

The Widget display, in its usual unhelpful lack of display of the state of synchronisation of recordings, is showing "scheduled" icons for all four entries for the two pairs of recordings, not distinguishing between actual queued, scheduled or failed states.

I'll hold off making any changes to my IceTV programming until you've had a chance to take another look at the state of the recordings.

I've attached screen shots of the recording entries in both the Web page and the Widget.

Has something changed on the IceTV side?

I now see that the two "scheduled" entries have disappeared from the Web page, leaving only the "failed" entries. There are now also only two entries in the Mac Widget view, but, of course, they reveal nothing about the status of the recordings. There are no timers for the recording on the Beyonwiz.

The only change this end is that the Beyonwiz has been powered down to standby and powered up again (after a delay of a couple of hours).

I doubt know of any changes having been made today, but we are looking into the cause of this.

Thanks for the feedback Peter.

Thanks, Dave. I'll leave my IceTV scheduling (including those recordings) as-is to give you a chance to look at it. There aren't any changes I want to make before those two recordings are due on Saturday.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the assistance. We have all the information we need right now to be able to implement a solution.

I have re-scheduled your 2 affected recording schedules, and their timers should appear on your Beyonwiz after it next turns on.
cheers

Thanks, Dave. The two recordings you re-scheduled are now showing as "queued" on my My Week Web page.
