Icebox power cables

It seems that the transformer on the Icebox power cable is getting power - the blue light is on but the power is not getting to the box. Is the transformer and cable a specific item or is something similar available from somewhere like Jaycar?

Yes you could definitely get one from a Jaycar type store or online. The spec in volts and amps is on the side.  More amps would be no problem in a replacement, definitely not less and the volts should be the same.

We have never had one fail before?

Well I got another transformer and cable from Jaycar. They tested the cable with a multimeter and ii seemed to be producing 12v at the plug that goes into the Icebox. I bought a replacement transformer unit anyway.

It seemed that the plug going into the Icebox from the new transformer was a better fit than the old transformer (the Icebox has been moved around a bit so it could have slightly altered the design of the original plug). The other possibility was a broken wire in the orignial transformer's cable/plug. Etiher way the Icebox is now working so I'm happy.
