With the first IceBox remote we were not able to get the keycodes changed to be exactly as we wanted, so while we could get the IceTV logo put on the button it was still the backspace key. This was re-mapped in Kodi (but it seems not within the LiveTV context).

As we could not break compatibility with Remote #1 (and as we could change the keycodes in the second remote) we have tried to get each of them to work out of the box, so in this context it meant that recordings was once again set to backspace. We can however look at fixing keymap in the LiveTV context.

I purchased the remote 2. I had no end of hassles with the original, found a great replacement and was happily using until "2" came along.
With my curiosity and FOMO I ordered it.
Quick delivery and works as described. Much improved over "1".
My only niggle would be the dedicated "Home" button.
For example; If I go into "timers" and press "Home" , I am taken to the Home Screen , as would be expected.
But if I go into any timer there to edit it  and then press "home" I get an audible beep suggesting that action is not allowed, so need to use the "back" button to return to that parent folder.
Same with entering "Recordings".
I can"t really see the need for a home Botton unless it takes you "Home" from any menu that you may be in.
My preference would be that  both the "Return" and "Home" buttons on the bottom rocker were one and the same,
continuous and performed the same action, "Return".
And before I get any advice on re-mapping keys via kodi whatever,.. that is well out of my ability nor desire to do so.
I would end up with a remote opening the neighbours doors, starting their cars and turning devices on and off unwittingly.
Just an input as to how I have found it to work.
