A plea for help.

My Beyonwiz T2 recently crashed and I did a re boot with only partial success: for example in the EPG I now have about 10 unwanted channels and channels 7,9 and SBS are  not populated.

I did a web search but this failed to produce a successful result, for example re the unwanted channels I was advised to press the controllers OK button when viewing a channel but nothing happened.  There was also reference to a white button on the controller but my controller doesn't have one.

I would welcome advice on how I might proceed. Is my problem recoverable? Should there be no solution then please suggest available alternatives that I might buy.

Thank you.

It's hard to help not knowing what it was that you did to get the T2 back working again.

When you got the T2 going again, did you reinstall the firmware, do a new scan for services or restore settings? That can change the set of channels that are available, and a new service scan will also switch you to the "Last Scanned" favourites list. Restoring settings might also restore an old, invalid version of your "Favourites" list.

In the EPG, what is showing as the current "favourites" selection at the top left of the program grid (just above "Today")?

If it's not "Favourites", EXIT to quit the EPG, press FAV, then FAV again, scroll to "Favourites (TV)", and press OK.

Then scroll up and down in that list and check that the correct channels are showing. If they are, then press OK on any channel to select it and exit. If you press EXIT at that point, the favourites list change won't "stick".

Then press EPG and check that the correct channels are showing.

If you've rescanned, the set of channels that are available may have changed, and you might see some <n/a> entries in the Favourites list. They need to be deleted and replaced with the correct channels from (say) the Terrestrial TV LCN favourites list.

Hello Peter

Thank you so much for your quick reply to my plea for help.

As I am a complete nurd when is comes to everything electronic what I can say is that the EPG came from the Terrestrial TV LCN (TV) and the Fav listing was empty.  Ok I have now moved on a bit (at least I hope I have)

This is where I am at now:

When I press the Fav button I get I get a listing of Terrestrial, Last Scanned and Favourites (TV).  Selecting Favourites twice I get listing of the channels I have selected but this is just a vertical listing of channels rather than a table of the channels with the program guide for each.  What is my next step to achieve this?

Cheers I feel that I have moved on hopefully in the right direction and it makes some sense to you.  Cheers

Once you've set the correct favourites list in the channel list (as I described), it will be used by both the channel list and the EPG. The same channels will appear in the same vertical order in both. There should be nothing more to do.

It's also possible to switch between favourites lists in the EPG, but I think the process is easier to understand in the channel list.

If you want to build your own list in Favourites, that's another question.
