Beyonwiz V2 Dead????

I wonder if any of you can give me some hope!! I think my V2 has died! Back story is, I have recently purchased a new computer with W11. I had been trying (unsuccessfully) to mount the Shares between it and the V2. So in this troubleshooting process, I had been rebooting quite often. During this, the booting process got slower and slower. Then it seemed to get stuck at around 75%, and later at 39%. Until it now fails to boot at all. Display just says Boot, but nothing happens. So do you think all hope is lost? I was disappointed to read that NASA has closed because I had thought I would send it off there. If you think that it may be a fixable issue, I thought I would just ring around some electronic people locally to see if they could at least have a look and see if there was anything obvious and fixable.

I have dusted off my old DP-P1, but it certainly makes you appreciate just how good the V2 was!! I am struggling with withdrawal!! If all is lost, I was going to get an Icebox, but they are not currently available unfortunately.

If you have a spare PC lying around you could maybe set up an IceBox BYO, but not everyone has one of those.

I actually went to have a look at that option to see what was involved, but the link doesn't work!

Thank you! I was using the link from the store!

But further to my V2 issues, I just had a thought that maybe the firmware was corrupted and I could try re-installing. I got as far as the tv screen giving me the recovery menu. However I wasn't able to move through them to select Recovery by USB. Tried on three remotes - original V2, Universal and TV, so that wasn't the issue. I was actually quite excited when I was able to get that far, then came crashing down again!! Any more thoughts?

I think you need someone better qualified than I to troubleshoot a Beyonwiz PVR, However, one thought: are there arrow keys on the front of the V2 for menu selection? I know that there is a step in T2 installation that calls for pressing he UP arrow on the front of the PVR, not on the remote.

No, it's pretty much just a power button. Thanks for the suggestion anyway! :)

Unfortunately the V2 has no buttons on the front. You could try attaching a USB keyboard to one of the USB ports and seeing if you can use the UP and DOWN keys to navigate.

Looking at the V2 (draft) User manual, I see that there is a Recovery button on the back of the V2 which is described as "Recovery: Recover to factory settings if menu inaccessible".
