Just a couple of obsevations.
I lost NBN connection on Sunday just gone, no explanation why or for what reason, but all back up and running.
Obviously IceBox could not update schedules but no issue there.
Observation 1:
Scheduled recordings were completed as expected. But the Ad Skip was not implemented, so obviously that is not a built in feature of the internal software.
On viewing the "recordings" folder over local network each recording only had 1  file (mkv), not the usual 8 files after a recording and Ad Skip has completed.
Observation 2:
After watching recordings that were done whilst nbn down, when deleted there were no residual folders/files left as is usually the case. 

I know it has been discussed before, but I can"t find the thread. Was some where in the earlier posts about cloning the drive without losing recordings?
I have copied the mkv files from Icebox to another drive on occassion in order to use on another player or edit the recording.
Player/editing software of choice will playback without issue but all program information/meta data is missing.
Where is that metadata located on the recorded file IceBox?

last month when my account should of Auto renewed it simply expired. My card would usually show a charge a few days prior to the recharge date as is expected. But this did not happen, and under the Auto Renew section on the web page it was showing "Your account will expire on ..." instead of the usual  " Your account will renew on ...". Sure enough my account expired and I had no access to the service.
I had to manually add another month.
The same thing has happened this month, my account is due to expire on Monday 27/01, it has not renewed even though on the web it is showing as Auto Renew enabled, and again is showing that it will expire instead of renew.
I have updated the card details several times but still the same.. showing as auto renew enabled but no renewal date,... only when it will expire and it does so on that date.
Why won't my auto renew settings stick and be adhered to?

This has been brought up before as to different shows, ...Australia vs ...UK.
I have both set as series recordings, first runs only.
 For the last 2 weeks at least (could be more), they show up on My Week a day or so before and as the Australia series, when on watching they have been the UK.
Also as first runs. Last weeks episode (UK) that recorded was a repeat.
I will admit that I may have watched that episode before on catch up TV, so could be wrong in that.
But the naming and differentiating between the 2 versions is not picked up correctly, or 7 is playing usual games.

O.K. So I like to transfer and save some recorded files to my Mac. Add them to my existing Library.
In order to use another player to use at later date. Infuse can handle playing back the .mkv files. although some program names are generic. So I edit Meta Data. All good.
The issue; I find that with Samba the file transfer from IceBox to Mac can take a long time, up to 2 hours or more for a movie. A 1/2 hour tv show can take over an hour.
When I used to use AFP to transfer files between systems on my network, mainly between Macs, it would only be a matter of minutes to complete.
Is Samba the only file transfer protocol  available for IceBox? Am I missing something in settings on IceBox or Mac/network?
Just seems extremely slow when my network performs fast with other transfers and streaming.

A bit later on this topic, but I can confirm that as MD mentioned, the eyetv diversity stick will only show as 1 tuner on ice box. Driver issues.
Only looked into this when I had conflicting schedules, over 4 networks.
So, I have a few diversity tuners, am going to test whether I can plug another into the USB side port.
If good that sould give me 4 tuners. Each capable of recording all network channels? Correct?

So I took the plunge and purchased an Icebox.
Initial setup was fairly easy.
I was vey sceptical on how well the ad skip function would work, but have been very impressed so far.
Even on ABC channels, leaving the padding to 3 minutes on start, when I play back the recording it jumps straight to the start of program. Displaying length of skip.
With the latest update I like that I can change the padding on each individual "Timer' from the Home Screen. I really don't want to enter TVheadend via web. I like the K.I.S.S. approach. I am the last "S'.

 I can access IceBox from "Finder" on my iMac easy enough.
The thing is after I watch a recording on the Icebox and delete it a folder still shows up in "Finder" for that recording. Usually with 5 files contained as opposed to 8 before deleting the recording on IceBox. The mkv file is not present as I would expect, being the actual recording.
So my question is, will those folders be persistent? I can remove them easily enough using Finder, but it can become confusing if the recording is part of a series recording as only 1 parent folder shows for each.
I understand that they don't use up much storage space. I thought I saw a post relating to this as to them being files associated with the adskip functionality and that they would be removed overnight, but I have left them alone for a few days and they are still showing in "Finder" unless I delete them  from there.
Is this normal?

I have been using EyeTv software on an oder Mac for many years without an issue.
Yesterday when I went to do my regular update of guide and check for new recordings, I got message "Update failed, can"t connect to server".
Same thing this evening.
Is Ice TV still supporting that platform or is it an issue on my end?
Any help would be appreciated.

So, now that the replacement SSD's have been available and sent out, are users finding that it has been the "fix" for their bugs?
I watch these forums and have not seen any/much on how the IceBox is performing with the new drive installed.
Has it fixed most issues experienced by users? Or are there underlying Kodi problems?
Just would like to know before deciding on a purchase.

If I order an IceBox now with tuners, will it ship with the latest firmware updates or will I need to do those myself?
Particularly the SSD boot issue.
I know some configuration is required, half the fun.
Been watching forum, help is there. Some of us are not too tech savvy.
Is it all good to go out of the box?

I have a series recording set for "The 1% Club" and all have recorded fine.
Since I first created this recording schedule when I click "upcoming episodes" ( either through "manage series" or a "TV guide" search, I get the message "400 Bad Request".
This happens even if the episode was showing in "my week" as scheduled. Before and after being sent.
I have not encountered this before, found it strange. Tested on numerous others  in "manage series" and the message never appears.
I'm posting out of curiosity as to why this happens. A data base error? I have no idea on these things so any enlightenment will help. Thanks.

Received an email alerting me to the increase of the monthly subscription cost on Thursday 01/06.
No problem with that at all. I'm happy to pay the extra dollar.

In new series, Taskmaster series 10 is showing, starting 06/06.
From the synopsis I am sure that I have watched this series,..but that might have been on You Tube.
Just curious if the contestant info/series number correct and if this has aired previously.

9HD 8:30 Wednesday 04/05.
The synopsis is showing the correct information, however this is episode 5, not episode 4 as is shown.
The 9;30 airing is correct, Episode 6.
Probably a Nine "mistake".

I have "Land Of Primates"  set as first runs only but I get the same episodes showing in "My Week" the following mornings.
This has occurred for the past week.
Also when I checked "My Week" earlier tonight the schedules had changed, mainly Episode 1 starting tonight, 25/12.
I adjusted all schedules to suit, but when I went to watch it ,  a completely different program was recorded.
Upon checking "My Week" again it was showing as the first episode starting 26/12 as was original and all other schedules were showing as donuts, not sent to my device.
All other SBS services are usually very accurate in scheduling, nothing much changes, well nothing padding can't handle.
I am just curious as to why this is happening, is it another ploy from the networks to foil free to air recordings?
I notice that the commercial networks have done a lot to mess with this, and ABC are constantly adjusting irregular times. Again nothing that my padding can't handle.
But it really does stink of their efforts to thwart free to air recordings.

I have this series set as a first run recording.
It is showing as a first run on ABC PlusKids Wednesday 01/12. Series 1 episode 1. Roger Daltry.

I know that I recorded this (series 1) before. But I stupidly erased all episodes before watching.
I have it set to record as a first run and it is showing to record as such.
But surely it is a repeat, unless it is now showing on a different network/channel.
Just perplexed, not complaining. At least now I can catch them all again.
And not repeat my accidental deletion.

I read the "what's on this weekend" email very bleary eyed early Friday morning.
I am sure that I saw a listing of this movie, but deleted mail before it registered that I should record it. What day/channel/time.

I have searched the icetv guide and all other guides but have found no listing for this.
Was it an error or am I missing something in my search.
I love Tarantino films so any help would be appreciated.

Something strange is going on.
According to the Ice TV web guide and SBS's own guide, Perth region, on Wednesday 05/05 from12pm until 11:30 pm, they are showing nothing but repeats of the movie "The Fifth Element".
I have been waiting for a time slot for this so as to not interfere with other recordings and thought this one would do.
That movie has been on repeat screenings on Viceland quite often, but not 5 repeats consecutively on the same day.

Unusual for them not be showing usual their early evening line up.

I will keep an eye on the guides to see if changes are made.

I saw the post about repeat flags not sticking to some shows and that you are aware of this, looking into it.
The ones that constantly show up on for me in "my week" are;
Wednesday night premieres of - Diesel Brothers & Iron Resurrection on 9 rush Perth- Pawn Stars on 7 mate Perth.

The same episode for these (with series, episode and description the same as Wednesday)  are always appearing as premieres in all (obviously repeat slots) on Thursdays in early morning and afternoon. Diesel Brothers also late night.

I know you are working on this, but just letting you know of the main ones I am noticing.

I can understand having some bugs with an update, willing to wait it out.
I can usually work out what is a repeat and is a premiere.
But most shows are still only showing a generic description of schedules in My Week ( Perth guide )
With no season, episode number nor year it is getting difficult.
