I'm new here, hoping to get some guidance with my Vansat Auto Satellite dish, using Vansat decoder and Humax HDR-1003S receiver.
I have been using this setup or around 6 years in many locations around australia, set up on my Mobile home.
A few months ago, everything stopped working and the dish was just non stop searching for satellites, as was the Humax receiver.
I thought it was my location, and didn't bother as I wasn't really using it.
A few weeks ago I decided to revisit the issue and sort guidance from the dish supplier, they advised there needed an update as some parametres had been changed.
The update was done and the dish finally locked into the satellites and I could see numerous channel options.
So now come time to tune in receiver, all I can achieve is searching for channels, nothing.
Conferring with Vansat they advise that Humax may be faulty.
Finally contact Humax Australia who provide download manual and guide to reset. Several options but very confusing, but non of the options are effective.
Humax advise there must be an issue with Dish hardware, I don't agree as I see signal strength.
Vansat claim must be faulty receiver, I'm the meat in the sandwich.
Anyone here have any experience with Humax HDR 1003S, guidance on how to test, don't want to spend $300 odd on a new one before I eliminate problem with current setup.
BTW the Humax PVR previously recorded programs are still function.
