Just an update.
Have given up on it and ordered a remote2.
The extra button for subtitles got me over the line...

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for that, there was about 100Gb free memory and the soft reset sorted it all out.

First question I have is how much free space is there on the IceBox, you can check this by going into Settings and then into System Information and onto the Storage tab on the left hand side. You need to look at the line that ends with '/storage'.

If the setup wizard is not completing though the only option is to perform a soft reset, by going into Settings, then LibreELEC and on the System tab go down to "Reset System Settings to defaults" (it will say "SOFT RESET" at the bottom in green if you are on the right one) and select it, then confirm the window that comes up. After the soft reset the IceTV wizard will come up again, but this time it will complete.

Thanks Ian,

IceTV IceBox and connected to the internet via ethernet connection.

Sorry should also add, that with this mess the recordings are not updating. It was able to finish the scan last night, but then gave some Ice error and told me to check the log files. Not sure where I can find them or even, where you check if Ice is behaving itself etc.

Hi All,
I sometimes get the email from IceTv that the recorder has stopped getting downloads and usually fix it by just pressing and holding the power button on the IceBox to get it to reboot.
It is now forgetting the IceTV log in each time and goes through the whole IceTV set up of entering the creds and rescanning the channels.

This is causing me problems as the scan sometimes fails to finish and therefore Ice is not set up.

Any hints on this?

It has got really bad at the moment, changed the batteries with brand new ones and it is a little bit better, but after 10 minutes is back to being very hard to use.

That seems to have helped for now.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi All,
I am having problems with my V1 remote sometimes scrolling an hour thru a show rather than 30 seconds and also scrolling through multiple selections.
Any suggestions on this?

It just struck me that this may be due to a Repeat flag having been set on the title field in My Recorders. It has been known from early days of IceBox that this interferes with timer creation.

Either disable it or set it on another field, if that's of any use to you. I'm not sure if setting it on subtitle also interferes with timer creation, you could try, and I think IanL-S has reported he has it set successfully on the description field.

I should have remembered this, it has been reported before, but not for some time.
Quote from: Daniel Hall at IceTV on March 25, 2025, 01:46:37 PMGood pickup actually, if you change the repeat flagging to be in the subtitle or the description it will be fine, but it cannot be in the 'Title' field.

If you change this, then reboot the IceBox to force a guide refresh it should then work as expected.

Yay!! Its all working correctly now!!

Thanks to everyone who made a suggestion and Raymond who had the solution, and the reboot from Daniel that made it work!!

I can finally record Wheeler Dealer for the first time since my Beyonwiz died!!

Perfect thanks for that!!

Wish me luck!
Unfortunately made no difference. :-(

So problem seems to be firmly, series recording for repeats and first run, programs that are repeats are not correctly set on the IceBox timers.

In IceTV they show as;

Recording Options

This show is waiting to be set by device LoungeIceBox. This show is part of a series recording.
and red donut.

Any more suggestions?

I have rebooted many times, needed to do that to get the timers to update before the firmware update, but no difference.
How do I soft reset?

I think you'll find that any one-off timers set on program series will result in open "doughnut" indicators on the My Week amd TV Guide interfaces, Anyone who knows otherwise please correct me!

Even though showing doughnuts, the timers should show up on IceBox or any other PVR you may have, and record without issue.

A workaround, as you have identified, is to set a series recording for first runs and repeats. This will record everything, which may not be what is desired, and unwanted recordings would need to be deleted.

Sorry but neither one off nor series recordings are working if it is a repeat...
New programmes record perfectly both one offs and series recordings.

Hi Daniel,
Whilst Wheeler Dealers is on 9Rush, I have also tried to record other repeats as one offs, such as Life of Brian the other week and they have also failed.
And yes the guide info for 9Rush is appearing on the IceBox.
I have just set up a series recording for Big Bang Theory on 10Peach as an experiment to see if that is similarly affected.

Quote from: MD on March 14, 2025, 02:55:49 PMGot it!  Have you checked the relevant timer in the IceBox as I suspect it was set.  We have a difficult to solve bug that shows  doughnuts if a show air time changes fractionally even though it is actually set.
Checked the IceBox and it does not show the timers and the programmes are not being recorded. :-(

The IceTV website is still saying;
This show is waiting to be set by device IceBox. This show is part of a series recording.
for the affected programmes.

It is Wheeler Dealers on 9Rush Melbourne. IceTv shows it as being set to record. The error message i am getting on IceTV is as mentioned above.
