Just adding an update; I am now using a new Mac, and  have none of the warnings popping up. All as should be.
It was as I suspected, that the old OS and browser were not up to date, unable to get security updates.

I have my padding in TV headend set, I manually change the padding for each new schedule, and yes I do click "OK".
My issue is that for my nightly recording of the 9 news the schedule reverts to the default padding instead of obeying my individual adjusted padding. This must only occur if IceTv sends a new schedule that differs from what I have set.
I would like my adjusted schedules to stay with the padding I have set if only out by a minute or 2.
It only happens for this schedule of recording, of which I set 1 minute pre and 5 minutes post.
To avoid this, would I need to change the 'pre' to a longer duration ? Or is this just an IceTV thing.
Can schedule updates be ignored if only out by a minute or two (as is the case with this ) and just left to the receiving device owner to adjust?
Or do I need to set my individual schedule padding to fall into the padding I have set in TVheadend???

I was just accessing the icebox recordings folder from my computer (imac) as I do on a daily basis to clean up files and I discovered that after a recording has finished that there is only 1 file (the mkv file itself) inside the parent folder (and this is for recordings made 24 hours earlier) not the usual 4 files. Being the comskip  associated files missing I checked if comskip was turned on in the icebox settings,..yes nothing changed there.
Also when I delete the recording from the icebox itself, there is no residual folder / file associated with that recording, whereas before 2 files were remaining in the parent recording folder.
Not sure if this was an iceTV implemented updat....
But the commercial skipfunction is no longer working, explaining the less files.
I have checked the settings and it is still toggled "on".
Would a power cut(that we had recently) have triggered somethin? Will a soft reset resolve the comskip not working?

In Perth there is no EPG entries for the 9 network from Monday 08/06 1:30pm onwards.
And no scheduled recordings are showing.

I will add that when I do click "Visit anyway" option on my iMac I can view forums without any problems.
However when I try to exit the forums by clicking the back button I can't and usually end up with a frozen "logged in" "TV guide" screen that can't be navigated and can't be logged out of, needing to quit safari.

I had this same thing happen for 1 email, didn't "open in browser", so can't attest to that.
all other emails since have been opening as they should, thumbnails /pictures showing.
Further to my suggestion of running a no longer supported system being the cause of my getting those pop ups,..well that is just Apple and their way of forcing me to update/ buy a new computer.
Had it many times before. Soon I won't be able to use Safari at all, as they will deem it  an obsolete system, unable to update. And even though using an outdated browser has no impact on their security, it should be my choice, they will disable the use.
The iPad I am not having any issues with the forum loading, without the security warning, is an even older OS for that system than the Mac . Go figure.

I use android phone. Testing on iPad I had no warning pop up..

Safari pop up gives me the option to view the certificate, I did so , then googled "sectigo public server authentication".
I found this;

Since Monday when I click on "forum" my browser (safari) warns me that the certificate can't be verified and gives me some options. One of which is to visit the site anyway, which I do as I can recall this happening before, some time ago.
I might add that my browser is not the latest version. older system and not receiving updates anymore. Not sure if that would play a part in getting the afore mentioned pop-up.

You could try this, helped me out until purchase of "2" remote.

I absolutely agree that this is an excellent replacement remote.
I got sick of the "sticky button" issue with the supplied unit, recalled mention of this unit on here so ordered 1 last Saturday. Delivered Monday and been using since.

Yes it was plug and play out of the box.
The downside? while no dedicated pause/play or stop buttons, I prefer the pressing of the OK and using the arrow buttons. The power button also is non functional/not programmed. But again no issue for me, as most of the controlling of IceBox is with directional arrows within contextual screens.
The air mouse function I don't use.
The underside keyboard feels strange at first but once used to it, just feels like a non slip surface. No accidental key presses as the keyboard needs to be activated by a certain key.
The home and menu buttons are in reverse position to the supplied remote, but as with any new remote you quickly learn with use.
I might test if the keyboard is as plug and play as the remote the next time I do a soft reset.
Not about to test without needing to, but if it works for entering Username, password etc it will really prove to be well worth $30 spent.

I can confirm that a soft reset is needed in order for the icebox to recognise any additional tuners plugged in after initial set up.
A simple re boot will not get the new tuner recognised as such by the system.
In tvheadend it will show under tuners but in a grey font, any active / recognised tuners will be in bold font and be numbered #0 to #3 only after a soft reset.

I'm not going to pretend to be any kind of guru, I am not.
But, try checking the cable connections to any tuners / splitters / antenna ports.
A loose connection at one of those has caused me issues before.
I also suggest after doing so to perform a "soft" reset.
A bit of a hassle but will retain any recordings you have whilst allowing you to  enter all network, IceTv account details again, making sure they are correct.
And following the "set Up" instructions on web site, confirm other initial settings are as they should be.

Yes. It is usual practise for SBS (and  some others) to have catch up / on-line streaming of shows before they air FTA.
They generally offer 2-3 episodes  ahead of FTA to get you interested, then the rest of series will be  "upon release" or "coming up", "available" on such and such date.
And some networks offer the first few episodes free then require you to purchase the rest with either a subscription. EG; ten network trying to get Paramount Plus subs.
My guess is that they are trying to get people accustomed to the catch up / streaming series. Whereas the viewer can't escape / skip the ads. Which are basically their revenue.
Don't be surprised when the networks will only be serving "prime" content to their streaming / catch up services, and shortly after, only available on those with a subscription.
FTA will be a thing of the past.

Just a couple of obsevations.
I lost NBN connection on Sunday just gone, no explanation why or for what reason, but all back up and running.
Obviously IceBox could not update schedules but no issue there.
Observation 1:
Scheduled recordings were completed as expected. But the Ad Skip was not implemented, so obviously that is not a built in feature of the internal software.
On viewing the "recordings" folder over local network each recording only had 1  file (mkv), not the usual 8 files after a recording and Ad Skip has completed.
Observation 2:
After watching recordings that were done whilst nbn down, when deleted there were no residual folders/files left as is usually the case.
