Can I transfer/export the Remote XML onto a PVR which has USB upload only?

Hi - Hope I'm posting this in the right place - and haven't overlooked an existing thread - if I have, please just point me in the right direction!

I have a PVR (brand is YESS - looks like a rebadged DGTEC) which uploads the guide data via USB.

The IceTV DGTEC guide data download in CSV text file works just fine and updates the PVR's guide data.

But, is it possible export the XML guide data from Remote to a CSV text file format, so I can get back my Series / Favourites etc...

I think encryption is going to be my problem... but I thought I'd ask the experts! :)

Hi,

The Remote site doesn't currently support downloading XML guide data, although you can certainly do it through our normal guide feed.  I can give you more info on that if you want, but the XML data is only for the guide, it doesn't include your settings for Series and Favourites, so I'm afraid you'll need to set those up in the PVR itself.  Most likely the DGTEC guide you're already using is your best option.

Crispin, you are effectively asking for the same facility as I asked for in this thread http://www.icetv.com.au/iceforum/index.php?topic=859.0 . In short, I want a way to download the remote recording data in xml from the ICE site, just like we get the guide data (or ideally to have the record flags embedded as attributes or tags in a personalised xml download if it was possible). As you can said from that thread, ICE have touted an alternative which has been coming "real soon now".
