I am not seeing any (obvious) corruption on my IceBox or Beyonwiz, just missing episode name/series + EP, and generic program descriptions. Seems to be associated with induvial series recordings - for example, on 10 Network seeing it for NCIS and FBI variants.

Adrian, looks like Widows 7 media center has more problems than my Beyonwiz and IceBox - all I am seeing is for some series recordings there is no episode name/number, and a generic program description. As far as I can see no corruption.

We are still having significant issues, particularly around ep naming (including for tonight) so as MD mentioned yesterday, if you could please record in the time slot, you will still be able to get the show.

Thanks so much for your patience. I'm sure you can imagine how stressful this is for our small team and all are working to try to resolve the problems as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Tiphanee

Ian as you mention the ep names missing is the same however some shows like NCIS, The Neighborhood Counting cars etc that i listed yesterday are all forcing recordings. as soon as I remove a recording, one of the other eps pops up wiht a recording the next hour or so when i've come back.

Is a shame ice didnt have a Db backup (end of each day) to rollback to & simply leave out wed onwards

As a suggestion to everyone, use freeview as a reference point as yourtv have suffered the same issue as icetv. Only issue with freeview is they dont have premiere / repeat, just SxxExx when you click more details.

Is there any update on this? even on the current day theres tonnes of shows that I am having to manually mark as do not record due to them not having any episode details.

I found that a lot of the timers didn't get sent to the IceBox, after the IceTV servers were updated.  A reboot was required to get them to download.

Maybe this is part of your problem?

IanL-S

Looks like I am having similar issues with my IceBox units. As far as I can see episodes which on my Beyonwiz have generic episode information (usually in program name) are not being downloaded.

On the Beyonwiz I have multiple recordings of some Network 10 programs; invariably with about 10 minutes difference in the commencement time. I suspect that timers were updated but the old timers were not deleted.

For me the problems seem to be limited to Network 10.

IceTV Team,

I'll ask again, is there any idea on an update. All the shows marked wiht a red line jae no episode details & are marked as premieres but obviously are NOT. I am having to manually remove them each morning. It's getting beyond a joke.

The fact that you have not communicated with your customers on an issue that has existed since wednesday last week & then got amplified on friday is not fair on your customers.

I am sure that @Daniel Hall and the guide team are working flat out to fix this problem.

I understand your frustration. Having three different platforms using IceTV (Topfield, Beyonwiz and IceBox), each impacted in different ways is doing my head in. While unwanted recordings is very annoying, I find it easier to deal with after the event.

Lisa

Adrian,

we have been working extremely hard to rectify this unusual and frustrating situation.
We have not posted any updates because the problem has been the same since the outset...."we are working on it" would be on repeat.
Hopefully from today things will improve enormously.
We are working on cleaning up the Guide from today until Sunday.

Lisa,

It was the fact that the current / next days data was still corrupt yet days latter in the week appeared to be cleaner. With no responses it left me & by the other threads created out there others too, wondering what was going on. Had a blanket email been sent immediately to notify everyone of an impending issue and that it could potentially take days to fix we could trust that was the case but there was radio silence post the initial comment by MD

Give it up Adrian.

We didn't know whether it would take one day or the nightmare of how long it did take, which included staff working all weekend.

Always having the last word is unpleasant for all concerned.
