9Go!HD

Hi,

I noticed a program set to record on 9GO! to auto record and the 3 occurrences starting from tonight where still waiting to be sent to my IceBox. However, when they were previously recorded, they were on 9GO!, IceTV had changed them to 9GO!HD.

I had a look at the guide on my IceBox and there was no 9GO!HD in it. Tried a couple of reboots, and still no sign. I couldn't find a 'rescan channels' option (unless I missed it somewhere), so I fired up the TvHeadEnd in my browser to see if there was a way to do it. I noticed however that it was actually in the list:



I did notice the first column was not ticked (the Enabled check box), so it ticked that & saved, and the channel now appears in the guide on the IceBox. No logo, and no information, but I can select the channel and view it.

Am I correct in my assumption that the next guide update will bring up the guide data & icon? Or do have to do a soft reset for it to work properly?

I am not fussed about the actual recordings - they are new to 9GO!, but are just an old series that used to be on the main 9 channel, so I just delete them every so often.

I also noticed that 9Go!HD is now available on IceTV service selection for Melbourne. Currently I do not record anything on either 9Go!HD or 9Go!, so I am not worried about it.

I suspect getting it to work requires an updated IceTV installation wizard. Hopefully @Daniel Hall will give us the lowdown on this.

Hi Mike,

On the TVHeadEnd page where you enabled the channel there is a column for "EPG Source", if you double click the entry you will get a drop down list where you can then choose "9Go! HD". If you tick that entry in the drop down, then click "Save" at the top of the page it will show up after a reboot (this will force a complete guide refresh).

Thanks Daniel - that appears to have done the trick. The guide is now populated with the programs for that channel, and the timers have come through as well.
