Remote control problem

I am attempting to watch some recordings and the remote doesn't seem to be working. Initially I replaced the batteries and the remote still doesn't work. I switched the Icebox off on the Kodi box in the hope that something would work, but I'm still unable to watch the recordings. Any tips please? Thanks

Is the red light on the remote flashing when a button is pressed? If so try pulling out its dongle on the IceBox then plugging it in again.

1. Remove and replace the usb receiver, see if that makes a difference
2. Try replacing the batteries with other fresh ones

You could use a different remote if you have one, but it would need a compatible wireless or IR receiver, and would need to be programmed for IceBox. A longer term solution.

It's worth checking the batteries are in the right way, then press any button on the remote, if the light isn't coming on when pressing a button (either just once or multiple times) then the remote is likely dead and we would have it replaced.

Please check the batteries one last time and if it's still not working let us know and we will get a new one out to you.

I hope this does not cause problems, but I decided to try an alternative way. I started using this to see if it worked, but have kept using it because it is better.

I bought an Android TV Box and it came with a USB Mini Wireless Keyboard. Then my TV failed and I got a Smart TV that made the Android TV Box redundant.

So, I decided to try it out and it worked. I tried to attach an image of the unit with an iPhone beside it for scale, but could not. Basically it is roughly the same size as an iPhone 13.
