Updating the Channel List

What's the best way to update channel lists on a Beyonwiz V2? Do I really need to do a full rescan? Will that stuff up my favourites?

Sad the Beyonwiz forum is gone...

A full scan is always easiest, preferable with your location, for example Sydney. It should not change your favorites (possible exception in a channel has been deleted/discontinued). I recently did rescan on U4, T2 and V2 (to get 9Go! HD Melbourne correctly configured), and it did not, as far as I am aware do anything to my Favorites.

Peter (PRL) probably knows a lot more about this than I do.

It should not change your favorites (possible exception in a channel has been deleted/discontinued).

IIRC, if that happens, the channel will show up as N/A in the Favourites list, and it will need to be removed manually.

And, of course, if a new channel is added, and you want it in your Favourites, you'll need to add it.

For simple rebrands like the ABC Family and ABC Entertains that change only the channel names, the changes should propagate to the Favourites lists automatically.

You could also try posting on the Oztoppy forum  as many Toppy users, such as myself, moved on to Beyonwiz.
