Lost access to my recorded movies overnight

Hi. I'm having trouble accessing my movie files. I have 875GB available of 999GB but the directory list of movies in my /media/hdd directory is empty. It was working last night. I've rebooted, including unplugging and replugging the HDD prior to reboot. What other actions can I take, please? If I have to lose my files in the process, I can live with that.

I've since tried to reformat my drive, but it doesn't recognise that there is one there.

If this issue has already been reported in the forum, I apologise, so please point me to the thread.

The default location for movies on Beyonwizes is in /media/hdd/movie, not in /media/hdd. But /media/hdd shouldn't be empty, though it shouldn't have any recordings in it. It /media/hdd should at least have subdirectories movie and timeshift, and most likely backup as well.
