What likely problems with renaming channels?

I have renamed and reordered the channels in the guide using the standard Vista tools - eg: "Southern Cross Ten" --> "Ten".  Purely for clarity and readability.  What are the likely ill effects, if any, of doing this.  I understand that PIMP uses the standard names to match data for remotely scheduled recordings, but I'm not likely to use this feature (even though I have PIMP installed).
