Hi. I'm unsure if this question has been asking previously. Is it possible to for the ICETV tvguide.xml file format to be changed slightly so that for all movies the "Movie" category tag is always the first category in the category list?

The Mediaportal 2 XMLTV plugin appears to only read the first category in the list when importing the tvguide.xml file. Currently most movies have another category tag listed first such as "Drama", "Action", and "Musical". Hence when displaying the program guide in Mediaportal 2 only a handful of movies are actually listed correctly as movies and displayed in the correct colour (default is purple).

Sorry for the silence on this one, but yeah we should be able to do this one.

Due to some other projects going at the moment it won't happen overnight, but will post back once this is done.

Actually, for MediaPortal do you know of any of category's that it looks for that should also be listed first to allow for easier filtering in their guide?

Thanks Daniel. Actually it's not just the Movie category that needs to be listed first for MediaPortal 2, it's any category that you want to map to a MediaPortal 2 program genre. If the category is not the first in the list it is ignored by the MediaPortal 2 XMLTV plugin. eg. A normal non-movie program, Studio 10 on Channel 10 has two categories listed in the IceTV tvguide.xml file: "Entertainment" and "News". The MediaPortal 2 XMLTV plug in uses the "Entertainment" category and ignores the "News" category, regardless of whether the "News" category is mapped to a program genre or not.
