I have done some digging and this appears to have been some weird characters in a description from WTV that the TF7100HDPVRt and TF7000HDPVRt models were not handling correctly. Since seeing this post did a factory reset, service search, setup wireless network, IceTV guide (ping OK), reboot (ON/OFF) result - IceTV Guide back again and looks OK, just waiting for the resend of TV recordings to occur before giving the all clear.

Final update - reboot brought all recordings back and all looks OK.

Will monitor for awhile but think it all good.
