What ports on my firewall need to be open for my TF7100HDPVRt to contact IceTV?

This is NOT a query on accessing the unit from the internet - it is a question about which ports my topfield uses to access the icetv servers and bring down the TV guide and also to bring down any requests to record that I have added on IceTV's servers.

My topfield was working well when I had a firewall rule that allowed any traffic on any ports to go out from my network to the internet, but I have recently locked down my network and only allow http, https, ftp, ntp and a few other protocols out.

Does anyone know what TCP and/or UDP ports I need to allow out from my network to make this work?

I just setup a tcpdump session on my firewall/router watching my 7100+ and, as I thought it would be, all traffic is TCP to/from port 80 on the ICE server.

Tightening firewall rules can be tricky, particularly with firewalls that have arcane language commands instead of rules that are humanly readable.....

As the connection to the IceTV service is a device initiated connection your firewall won't be blocking it unless you have explicitly denied outbound connections eg:- if you can surf the web you can connect to IceTV
