It's seems a lot better for me, although I didnt experience quite the same issues as other people  ;)

Uninstall / Reinstall completed - it "seems" to be better and at least I didn't lose all my recording settings

Guess time will tell...

I certainly won't be hitting "Update" quite so readily in the future - I've done my stint of post beta testing for December!
