"Series recording (episode not scheduled)" - what does it mean ?

What exactly does this status for a program mean ?

Presumably the current episode has not been scheduled on the Beyonwiz ??

If so, what reasons might be preventing it from being scheduled ?

I selected series recording for Ganges and Jonathon Creek for tonight, and turned-on the Beyonwiz.  Ganges is set to record on the Beyonwiz and shows appropriately on IceTV - but Jonathon Creek still shows the hollow grey circles.  There is nothing scheduled tonight for the Beyonwiz after Ganges, so there's tuners available.

What could the problem be ?

Often the reason it wasn't scheduled will be displayed when you click the show to look at the details.  In this case it's not, but I can see that it's because your Series Recording is set for first runs only, but the two showings on tonight are both repeats.
