Bug in forum email notifications?

I think there's a bug in the emails that you can configure to be sent when something happens on the forum. I just received 34 copies of the same email within seconds of each other:

To: IceTV Member <info@icetv.info>
From: IceTV Admin <info@icetv.info>
X-Mailer: YaBB SMTP
Subject: Topic reply:  Re: what weve been waiting for

Regards,
The IceTV team

The last email is dated 14:38:15 +1100. 34 emails in 5 seconds, all with the same content.

This happened before to a lesser extent a few days ago with the last notification. I thought nothing of it then as were only a few emails.

Any thoughts?

Wow, strange.  Can you look at the headers of the emails, and see if they all have the same Date: string?  I'm wondering if the forum sent 34 emails or if the server's mail system queued up 34 copies of the same email.

Okay, well somehow I have many "weve been waiting for by lcrowhurst"'s listed in the Notification section of the forum. The system must be missing a duplicate check somewhere.

Russell at IceTV

Ah, yeah, I see that as well.  The board keeps track of which users want to be notified about which threads, and it appears as though  there were a lot of duplicates being stored.  I cleared out all the duplicates, so hopefully if you click on "Notification" at the top of the page now, you should see just single entries for the threads you want to be notified about.  This is a pre-release version of the board software, and the final version is due out pretty soon, so hopefully this is something they've already fixed in a later version.
