Better Descriptions Possible?

The guide so far is fantastic, but I am just wondering whether it is possible to get more detailed information in the descriptions of show, similar to what is possible if the data is pulled from ebroadcast via TVxb ?

What I really want is per episode information for shows, unlike the generic description that is in the iceguide at the moment.

Any chance?

Thanks for all the good work.
Shane.

Yes, many o fthe descriptions are generic due to limited manpower at this time, but once we are generating some revenue we will have more staff to do the full descriptions.  At the moment priority is being given to movie synopses. Speed us up! Tell your friends about ICEguide!

It'd be great if you included the "repeat" description as well so we know if it's a first run or not.

Yep, we have that one already actually, take a look at the "broadcast-type" entity.  It can have values for BW, CC, HD, WS, and R.  However, we're in the middle of changing the XML format to be more like the XMLTV format for those types of fields, so it'll soon be changing.  More details in the Announcements forum as soon as it's ready for testing.

In my best Mr Burns voice.  Excellent.

Yeah, will be a good idea to add all those fields, as I still find myself pulling up yourtv to see if something is a repeat, and to see the actors in a prog, so it would be great to see those fields in the feed.

On this - can I invite people to join this beta test? If not what is the process?

Thanks,
Shane.

Sure - just ask them to email me first so I can put them on the list.  Sometime soon we will be issuing individual passwords to the beta test folk and disabling the generic one, so if they're not on our database they will be stuck.

I find yourtv offers the best information at the moment, but I can understand ICE's need for manpower to be able to produce the same quantity and quality of information.
