record indicator gone!

according to ice tv's "how to operate" for topfield, it says if you want to see what you have scheduled to record, simply go back to the guide and everything with an 'R' is set to record, the only thing is that after i exit the guide, all the record symbols disappear! the timers are still set, but i have no idea what they are for, unless i try to record again and i get the duplicate res. warning,

any ideas how to keep the symbols there??
