Beyonwiz / Re: Beyonwiz firmware updates
Last post by Rob VDN - September 24, 2024, 02:16:45 PM
Thanks raymondjpg.
I do indeed have the latest firmware operating on the beyonwiz (19.3) so that's good.
The system seems to be working well so I am inclined to stay with it until I have to make a decision.
I appreciate your quick response.
Thanks and kind regards,
Rob

Quote from: Rob VDN on September 24, 2024, 10:42:40 AMI have a T2. How can I find what firmware is currently installed and what is the latest version?
In the settings, last item. Or even easier through Box Info in OpenWebif - log in using the PVR IP address in a Web browser. Latest firmware is 19.3.20211010, as listed on Whirlpool page https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9246yqj8

Pretty much although there may still be life in the old T2 yet. If repairs are needed there is an operation, Nasa electronics, that has been given reasonable reviews by BW users.

I hesitate to offer any recommendations on a replacement. Depends what exactly you look for in a PVR.

Beyonwiz / Beyonwiz firmware updates
Last post by Rob VDN - September 24, 2024, 10:42:40 AM
I haven't set out to update my firmware for a while and I received a message that a large update was available. I used the on screen prompts to do this but I'm not sure whether it was installed.
I went to download the update on a USB stick and found that the Beyonwiz downloads page is no longer available. I note that there is a Whirlpool page that offers firmware updates but I am not sure whether this is up to date.
I have a T2. How can I find what firmware is currently installed and what is the latest version?

Sorry, I know there are lots of questions there. I need to get my head around what steps I need to take for now and for the future.
Thanks and Kind regards,
