Topfield / TF-T6000
March 10, 2014, 05:58:16 PM
Probably been answered but didn't come up in the search.  Are the new Topfields (eg TF-T6000) going to support IceTv?  Like the 4 channel recording but it seems like IceTV has been dumped.

Topfield / Daylight Savings Ends
April 07, 2013, 10:48:27 AM
Last year I was one of the unlucky few that did not get the email on how to reset your Toppy for the end of daylight saving.  This year I didn't receive one either and I cannot find info on the IceTV site.
Did anyone receive instructions?

Have just gone through the process (exactly)  both IceTV and Network had to be redone as well.

I didn't get either email and Dave didn't mention it either.  Another weeks recordings lost.  Great!

I am disappointed I didn't receive an email that changes were needed.  I am in a region that gets both Ballarat and Bendigo so all channels have to be checked on frequency as well.  I have just gone through this process for a another matter less than a week ago and IceTV never mentioned it would have to be done again for Daylight Saving.  I could have waited.  I have never had to change so muchon a PVR for Daylight Saving before.

If your Topfield has the Nov 2011 firmware or newer:

    Click "Menu' on the remote.
    Choose Settings, then Time.
Change the "Daylight Saving Time" option (Set to ON in Oct and OFF in Apr).
Press Menu to go back to the main menu
Select "Installation" then "System Recovery" then "Reset Service List"
Select "Yes" to confirm you wish to remove all channels.
Press Menu to go back to the main menu
    Select "Installation" then "Service Search"
    Change "Search Mode" to "Auto"
Go to "Start Search" and press the OK button. Wait until the channels have been rescanned.
Open the setup screen by pressing the "Menu" button on the remote control, scroll across to "Settings" and press "OK" on the remote.
Scroll down and select "IceTV" by pressing "OK".
Make sure IceTV is still set to "Enable". If not, set it to "Enable"
    Turn the Topfield unit off.
Go to the TV Recorders tab on our website.
Click on the 'Resend all recordings' link on the same row as your Topfield device.
    Turn the Topfield unit on.
Leave the Topfield on for 15 minutes.

Topfield / Re: Recording errors on the IceTV website

Hi All
I purchased my unit in June to take advantage of 4 recordings on two streams.  Been not stop problems since the purchase.  In fact I am  looking at a blank reservation page on the recorder as it has just lost everything.  Frequently lose the guide and very frequently the website shows conflicts where they don't exist.  Have also recently been getting recordings from the wrong station and that state an hour recording but go for minutes.  Really disappointed at how many series recordings I have given up on.

Manager from IceTV informed my there were known conflicts with the model Topfield I purchased and IceTV.  Topfield in Korea are hoping to have the problems fixed by the end of August - I hope so too.

I like the Topfield and I like IceTV.  Very disappointed they are selling a product with so many faults but think it will be a great service when the faults are ironed out. :-\
