PS there's also a Toowoomba East transmitter with the following frequencies:

SBS 613.5 MHz
ABC 620.5 MHz
7 627.5 MHz
WIN 634.5 MHz
Southern Cross 641.5 MHz
Thanks for that,  just tried the channel 9 freq and it doesn't come up at all. scan finnished nothing new

Dave, what is the frequency number for channel 9 Toowoomba?
I have ABC on 662.5
Ten on 683.5
Seven on 669.5
SBS on 655.5
and currently 9 is on 676.5 is that correct, or do I need to change it to get the stations EPG to work?

thanks, sorry about any confusion

Ok, this is pissing me off, I'm having a bugger of a time getting Channel 9 Toowoomba to work on my T4.
I got it to work briefly after many attempts but soon afterward the machine crashed and refused to restart. Switched it off at the back and waited ten seconds and back on, no response. Had to do a full re-install and when I logged back into Ice, Channel 9 was not there again? My T3 has no such issues at all, what the hell is going on here? If the channels were mapped wrong in Ice the T3 wouldn't be working, same for the settings on the T3 compared to the T4. No matter how many times I try to refresh, no many how many times I rescan the stations, Channel 9 will not work on the T4 for IceTV, the FTA Channels all work fine on both boxes, 9 too. Could this have something to do with the Hard Drive? it's the only variable I have any control over. I can't see how this could be an improper sign in for IceTV when all other stations besides 9 come in fine, that includes the timers and settings. Anyone else from the Toowoomba area having this issue with channel 9?

From a business perspective, I would strongly encourage IceTV v2 to have the facility by which we can pay for 3 months, 6 months or even a year ahead.  Why?  Because I don't want to be handling $8 transactions every month and would rather do a "one transaction to rule them all" etc type of thing.
Andrew
I would just set up either an automatic deposit/transfer (push payment) or let ICETV(2) deduct the payment automatically (pull payment). You can always cancel either method of payment at a moments' notice. I would also prefer to use a credit card transaction (usually an automatic pull) as that gives you protection against fraudulent transactions.

Paypal..?

IceTV as a TV guide and smart recording service almost survived. But a number of vital employees declined to take up the offer of working for the new version of IceTV so it's all over. Everything needed to produce and supply a hand curated TV guide with smart scheduling still exists, except the necessary staff.I personally want to thank all those who have been supportive of me and offering kind words over the last week.

cheers
Dave
Dave, I've always maintained that your blood was worth bottling!  So sorry to hear this news, I will miss our little chats when I was after service.  Hope you find work you are happy to do and best wishes to you and the staff.  I really hope you guys get picked up by an investor or just a like minded billionaire.  ;)  Ok so now how do I get the three years in advance I've paid..?  Sorry, couldn't help it.  Catchya  :)

What does Beyonwiz's T4 model and docs have to do with Skippa preorders?
If it's that interesting why not start a dedicated thread to discuss it?
Good point!
Also.. and I'm being serious here,  can I cancel my Skippa order?  Because the new T4 looks uber specced and I'd prefer it to the Skippa.
Dave, your blood deserves bottling.!  Thank you

Hey Guys,

Just to please note too that the warranty will be void if opening the box / replacing the HDD, as it is not designed to be upgraded.
That's fine and of course understandable, I have pre-ordered mine already and have no problem with this. However given the nature of recorders like this, they do tend to fill up rather quickly depending on individual use.  My T3 currently has only about 25% storage left on a 1 TB HDD.  I can and will update it sooner or later Warranty or not, because I can.  Will the Skippa allow HDD change and what is the maximum size HDD it can handle?  I'd like to put a larger one in there probably sooner rather than later.  Looking forward to playing with it.  ;)

Thanks guys, still not sure if I'll get the Skippa yet, need to see some dedicated forum responses from users to be sure. But at least from these responses, it looks like the two boxes are going to be similar in ability.  The T3 atm is still quite choppy when it's doing more than one thing at a time and I was hoping the skippa would be a bit more powerful.  The actual ad-skipping ability, at least for me, seems like it will be more of a gimmick though and not why I buy it if indeed I do.

So am I reading the specs right when comparing the Skippa to the WizT3?  Half the Flash memory, but twice the RAM.
Will this make it more responsive or less?  I'm considering getting one of these as a sister box to my WizT3, but I'd like to see more of a response on these specs.
Also, I know that 10/100 ethernet is adequate, but why not use the newer specced system, surely it's not that more expensive. Even my laptop is capable of faster speeds than this,
and the WiFi card is 5Ghz capable and the size of a postage stamp.. Just a thought.

Just downloaded the IceTV for Android App, and it is completely unusable.
Logged in, no access to options no connection to wifi no use at all?  My transformer runs well and has an excellent connection to the web.  I have a feeling this is a transformer specific issue, but it is just Android after all.

Hopefully,... and I do mean "Hopefully" because they've sold so many supposedly “freeview” enabled products already that aren't actually able to use this new EPG's full capability, they just might have to actually start and Finnish when advertised. Maybe they've painted themselves into a corner on this. Or am I wrong about the products already sold ?

"We'll give you $50 for your old Freeview PVR to trade up to a Freeview EPG PVR".

It's uncertain whether existing Freeview devices will be firmware upgradable to Freeview EPG.

Actually, I don't own a "Freeview PVR" I was never silly enough to fall into that trap. I was just speaking out for those who did get ripped off! I own a Wiz P1 & P2 plus my old Toppy 5000.

Yeah,... see, the way I see it, from right back to when I had my “Toppy 5000” I always figured that the networks, particularly 9, were bullying owners of PVR's, because of the Add skip issue. Somehow I don't think they'll stop being dicks about it now  :(
