Beyonwiz / Re: Odd EPG missing some information
June 23, 2023, 05:37:54 PM
I just did a full location scan for Sydney and during scan, when it displayed the 10 Network block, there was the name of the entry for 10 Bold was blank, so I suspect this is 1o Network doing some testing as nothing seems to be come from the broadcaster.

Maybe this is why on my Beyonwiz T2, the EPG shows <n/a> as the name for 10 Bold.

Beyonwiz / Odd EPG missing some information
June 21, 2023, 05:45:50 PM
G'day,

I noticed this odd bit of missing information from the EPG on my T2 running IceTV.

Now, the attached image is via OpenWebIf, but you will see that instead of 10 Bold it shows <n/a>.

This also shows in the EPG on the T2.

So, my question is; Is this something that is being set by the information being sent by IceTV or something that has gone astray elsewhere?

I have never seen this before. I have rebooted the T2 a couple of times and forced a send of the EPG from the IceTV servers but no change. I even did a rescan, but no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks. I'll give it a go.

G'day,

After getting my Beyonwiz T2 working, I decided to set it as the main PVR. Also, my IceBox was a little unreliable. As a result, I transferred the Ethernet cable from the IceBox back to the Beyonwiz.

No problem so far as both units functioned correctly, the T2 on Ethernet and the IB on  Wi-Fi.

Because of lock ups with the IB, I decided to do the 10+ hour removal of power, only now the IB cannot connect via Wi-Fi. There is no sound and no content other that had had been recorded, but no sound - even from the RCU movements.

How can I change the network connection settings? I have searched high and low but no luck. The settings shows the IP Address as 127.1.1.1 which is a local host pointer back to itself.

A Communications failed message pops up in the top right.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Getting Help / Re: Remote control playing up
June 14, 2023, 10:31:49 PM
Well, I find the remote controller very touchy.

The most used button is the > one, and I ended up having to press it in a particular way to get a response. It was press and roll left, right, up, down to get a response out of it. Its a case of having to watch the led.

The reason it makes large jumps is because where you press it, you can sometimes end up pressing the up arrow button that has the 8 minute jumps.

This type of remote controller is used by Hisense for their sound bar, and there it is the same issue. Unfortunately they are not robust enough.

G'day,

When I turned things on this morning, the 9 Network shows Channel 90 and then Channel 96.

I'm in Sydney and it should be showing a lot more. I am getting my IceBox to show All Channels.

Does this mean a soft reset or can I scan for just the 9 Network channels?

Thanks.

Getting Help / 7 network recordings are scrambled
May 29, 2023, 09:12:12 PM
G'day,

All of a sudden, recordings of 7 network programs are scrambled. They break up and end up aborting.

The off thing is that when I have managed to get information, I see the length of the recording as correct at 1 hour, 20 minutes) but the counter shows it is at a point -9 hours, 17 minutes with the counter counting down.

Not sure what to do.

Can I rescan just the 7 network channels or should I do soft reset?

Getting Help / Firmware Update Playback issues.
May 26, 2023, 04:51:11 PM
An issue with playing recordings with the new firmware update.

If you try and skip through the recording, then at some point instead of jumping ahead, you tet taken back to an arbitrary point and it starts playing back from there. If you let it be it will play through to the end. If you try and jump ahead again, it's back to where it previously jumped.

I was watching a 1 hour recording of the Indy 500 qualifying. At 37 minutes into it, I wanted to skip ahead and it took me back to 17 minutes.

Nothing like this happened before the update.

The button in question changes the remote control from keyboard mode to mouse mode.

Mine still works that way after the update.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: EPG Channel set up
May 26, 2023, 11:43:24 AM
Quote from: AJFC on May 19, 2023, 12:27:12 PMMy region is Adelaide and I have recently installed Ice Box.
The channel set up on the IceTV website does not reflect the channel set up on my Ice Box e.g. Adelaide Channel 44 is on website and I can "record" from IceTV App but there is no channel 44 on Ice TV.

If you are simply seeing numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc., you can set it to show the LCN.

Pick Settings (cog)
PVR & Live TV
Channels

The top 3 options on the right (Synchronise channel groups, Use Channel order from backend(s) and Use Channel numbers from backend) all should be turned on.

You should now see the channel numbers you are used to.

Getting Help / Re: Firmware Update
May 26, 2023, 11:29:26 AM
Quote from: AJFC on May 26, 2023, 10:39:27 AMI have received the email on the firmware update which gives instructions for the PC or Mac.  My Ice Box is connected to my TV so how do I install this update?
You need to get the update package to the Update folder on the IceBox.

Once it is there, you simply reboot the IceBox and it will go from there.

Do you subscribe to the IceTV EPG?

How do you connect the IceBox to the Internet?
