Yes, you need a tuner in your PC to use Ice with Win7 Media Center (Media Center won't let you set up TV functions unless you have a tuner). Although, I believe you may still be able to use the Ice EPG app without a tuner (but I don't think you will be able to schedule, only view). If you are not using your PC to record, stick with the Beyonwiz and Ice Interactive.

IceTV EPG Content / WIN HD - Qld Regional
January 10, 2010, 06:33:50 PM
Win HD (at least in Wide Bay) is still not broadcasting. Only the "we'll be back soon" message.

The Ice guide however has copied SD across to HD. Is this causing problems for anyone else?

I too have recently found that a "repeats only" option would be quite useful. For similar reasons, too many shows on with a repeat of one show at a later time.

No, the problem is with Ice saying the program has been queued when it should have come back as an error. I have had suspicions of a few of these since the Interactive upgrade but haven't really nailed it down until last night. Was curious if anyone else had noticed it?..?

For reference, the PVR is a TF7100. There were already two timers set on the PVR which is why this new program couldn't set a timer.

I have just had a program show up as queued on Interactive (fully red circle) but the timer is not being sent to the PVR. It looks like the reason for this is too many timers ont the PVR. So it should show up as an error...

Has anyone else had problems with errors not showing properly on Interactive?

Pleased to see I am not the only one. I have a Topfield and previously had problems with getting ABC news to record. Gave it up and now limit myself to two news programs a day....

Somehow recently the 7 news recorded on both SD and HD (I only set it to record on HD) so it shouldn't be a problem.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: Big Bang Theory on GO! rpt flag

All of the current episodes are repeats. GO! started again from the very beginning. I guess that they are not repeats because they have never been aired on GO! before...

Topfield / Re: LCN SETTINGS
August 26, 2009, 06:36:49 PM
Going with Vortical's example, GO! should default to the same as whatever Nine/WIN has scanned as. So for WIN it would be 88 or Nine in Brisbane would be 99. Both options appear on the LCN settings page on the TF7100 so you can pick and change as necessary.

You shouldn't need to change the LCN settings on the IceTV setup page however I have set all mine to the same as my PVR as I was having some issues when the new interactive rolled out. Setting the LCNs here does not change your PVR, it just makes sure they are both aligned.

You generally shouldn't need to worry about LCNs but in regional areas you may need to pick your channel number. My initial problems recording on GO! were LCN related.

Have you checked the LCN mapping on your Topfield? This is in the EPG setup.

Mine was originally set to 2 which was ABC (weird in its own right). Since I have correctly mapped the Topfield everthing has been working as planned.

Thanks Russell, looks like they all scheduled this morning when the 0930 timer went off. Was just strange that nothing went across last night... will double check the PVR later today but so far looks good...

Are there still issues with timers being delted ad-hoc? I missed one Sunday night but I don't know whether the show (Rescue Special ops) actually aired. There were many instances of this before the new interactive and in the early days of the release. I think everything else recorded okay...

I haven't been following the thread the last few days but I still have unscheduled recordings (all from today onwards). The PVR was on for a good few hours last night but nothing went through...

I haven't been home to check the PVR yet but will later. Still, Ice is not showing correctly if they have scheduled.

Sorry, should have been more specific. The LCN mapping on the TF7100 was wrong. I shouldn't have to but I have gone through and manually set all the LCNs on Ice as Ten was causing me trouble...

Make sure your LCN mapping is set correctly. I have had a similar problem and just found out that the LCN for Go! was set to 2 rather than 88. Don't know where the two came from but there you go...

Donuts, or fully enclosed?

Fully coloured red circle, not doughnut..  ;)

Still a few problems with the new interactive. I set two programs to record on Go! on Sunday night. Both of these have shown up as being sent to the PVR (red circles) but neither has appeared on the PVR. One should have shown up as error as there is a timer clash. Something to look at...
