General Discussions / Re: IceTV Resurrected

Good to know,I wondered if it was the right way to do things. You have 5 more days of subscription than I then :(

Yeah, the expanding thing for me is a bit annoying but having too much information displayed per entry would be more annoying. It works fine for Chrome on both mobile and pc (unlike the Beyonwiz OpenWebIf which is missing a large bunch of elements in chrome and works fine in IE).

When you click on an entry in the web page, it expands below it with the details. Try another browser perhaps.

I've been playing around too much!  :-[ Is there any way of deleting/changing  them?  I stuffed some up and can't figure out how to fix it
Keywords are at the top of "my series". I think though to delete any unintentional recording slots you created, you need to go to "my week".

General Discussions / new PVR, want to move timers
October 26, 2015, 11:11:06 AM
Hi,
I am a bit scared to experiment with "delete this device" under "My Recorders" (since I have sooo many series recordings setup over the past 8ish years with ICEtv), does this give the option to move all current series across to one of the remaining recorders in your list?
I went through and slowly changed each one to my new recorder for the current series, but just wondering if there was an easier way of moving all across?

Decided to add some manual timers for early next week to replace some series recordings.
Lo and behold, I got two timer conflict emails - don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Damn, I'll miss IceTV.
Hehe same.
I just had a brainwave on how to not jump off a bridge in the short term, by changing all my ICEtv set timers in my 2 PVRs from ONCE to WEEKLY, in the hope that the schedule isn't going to change too much (haha!).   At least this saves me starting from scratch setting timers, thanks ICE for being the seed to my weeklies ;)
Don't leave it too late everyone, as from early next week, no more timers are being set, you won't have anything to edit if you leave it too much longer.
edit:
p.s. Fargo on SBS HD starts next Wednesday, remember to add that weekly too.

My advice would be to ditch the DP-Series and get yourself a T4 as the main PVR and a T2 as your development/hacking box. You can trade in your old PVRs
The HDDs are nearly full though, pity I can't just pull out the HDDs and stick in a NAS and be useful for the T4 as is, no transferring/converting.  I kept looking at that trading option from BW thinking "hey, I might still need all my PVRs, I have nothing to trade" lol.  The 5K I keep around just in case someone one day wants me to check something TAP wise ;).

Hi all, long time away from the forums, family life and young child now...I didn't get the receivership email like many,I learnt about this when going on the web on the weekend to set a timer...
I did get the email this weekend about the potential to pay to keep going,I too said yes despite losing my current subscription to around the 2020 mark:(
I rely heavily on setting timers from Ice now, with little time to dig around a guide tracking scheduling changes etc...I was shocked by the announcement as I could see missing out on lots of shows I record (in saying that, with overseas work, family etc,I have two Beyonwiz PVRs nearly full, 1TB+2TB!)
I am seriously thinking about a T4 now...
I did work a long time ago at getting a free xml guide working on the wiz (for setting timers only though!) but did require hacking the f/w a bit to enable telnet etc.  Perhaps I will look back at this again? It won't be able to manage timer clashes so well though :( (I use Ice to spread around my timers to deal with the 4 tuners over 2PVRs, and any clashes I would typically get an email from Ice which I could then resolve across the two PVRs).
Sigh...

I just couldn't make it to that today, I got an invite too.  Interesting by the sounds of it.  Are you allowed to talk about it?

Thanks Dave.  I don't recall the single recording option being avail, but next time I need to do this I will dig around a bit.
Cheers.

Smart Recording on Android / App annoyance
July 06, 2013, 01:41:13 PM
Hi,
I am finding the app less than useful compared to the web page when rescheduling, say,a recording that has not scheduled due to series recording being for non repeats, but you want to still schedule an individual recording for the repeat.
On the web page, no issues with scheduling individual recordings in an existing series recording. On the app, there is no way this is possible, it always only gives series options? I don't want to edit the series, I just want to do a single recording, to, say, still record a show that night otherwise have not been scheduled due to repeat.

Been fine for me for yonks now.

Interesting, and that also confirms what I have said in the past, that ICE doesn't send deletes for timers it incorrectly schedules (when I say incorrectly, I mean at some point after ICE sets the timer, if the schedule changes, they don't first send the delete before trying to re-set).
