Yes, many o fthe descriptions are generic due to limited manpower at this time, but once we are generating some revenue we will have more staff to do the full descriptions.  At the moment priority is being given to movie synopses. Speed us up! Tell your friends about ICEguide!

We are making changes to the xml file and the Topfiled loader to improve the support for multiple regions.  Testing now, hope to have it available within a day or so.

Thanks for the feedback from Melbourne.  We have identified some problems with our loader's handling of Melbourne channels which would explain why you guys have had not seen the guide.  We are fixing it today and hope to have a new release for you within 24 hours.

The version you have uploaded has some debugging features that makes the toppy respond sluggishly especially while loading the guide (which can take maybe 15-20minutes after power up).  

If you wait a while after turning on the response should improve.

We have a new version that we are testing for stability and all going well it will be available within the next day or two.  Watch the annoncements on the forum homepage.  Thanks for your patience and the feedback.

The reason you won't see any guide entries is that the channels your are receiving on the Sunshine Coast do not correspond with those in the .ini file.

I'm not sure which channels you would be receiving, but there are a lot listed here:

As for disk activity, the loader reads a couple of records per second, so to load a whole week's guide takes 15-20 minutes.  It should back off after that.  And even though there are a lot of accesses to the drive, it is only reading a small amount of data each time, to leave the Toppy plenty of time to do its stuff.

The ICE EPG has now been expanded to include Melbourne free-to-air channels.  From now, the guide is updated each night with the latest Sydney and Melbourne programming.  There is generally 7 days of guide available, starting from the current day.  As the service develops and we start generating revenue to hire more staff, we will include more cities.
