Windows Media Center / setting maximum recordings to keep
February 03, 2014, 03:04:51 PM
Haven't been able to find any details if this is possible using Icetv in Win7MC but Id' love to be able to set a maximum number of recordings to keep like I can in Windows Media Center if not using Icetv to set recordings.

Can anyone shed some light on this or let me know the way it can be done ?

Thanks

Unfortunately all my series recordings are showing up as gray icon so nothing is actually scheduled.

Any ideas?

Graham

Ive got the same here

I voted yes because it makes sense to me, but I am not sure if there are any reasons not to do this.

I had the same problem here, I didn't notice what was different at the time.
It didn't show up for series recording.

As both Seven and Ten are now utilising their new HD Channels and broadcasting a vast array of different content to that which is on their SD Channels, the EPG data we displayed in the IceTV EPG was becoming very inconsistent and this inaccuracy is what led us to removing the listings altogether. I accept that this was a rash move on our behalf and one that should have been better communicated to everyone, but we were receiving an increase in complaints from customers who were recording shows only to find something completely different later on.

Hang on one bloody minute, my Ice setup is to copy normal channels to HD guide as it worked for me in the past.
Now you have gone and changed that too, why? the bloody guide is useless now.

Things are going from bad to worse WTF is wrong with you people ?

IceTV EPG Content / re whats up with guide
October 28, 2007, 10:11:31 AM
OK my Vista PC has major guide problems this morning.

My SD channels are supposed to be copied to HD , no listings for any HD channels today.
For the rest of the week HD channels are out by 1 hour, have tried update but no difference .

Looking on remote webpage guide is up the creek too.
My recordings for today are up the creek and the rest of the week are haywire.

Is this being worked on ?

I agree and I posted about this some time ago, never got much response so I assume its not doable.

Windows Media Center / Re: Channel names for MCE
March 13, 2007, 12:26:09 PM
There may be another problem for me at least, the listings that Ice has for HD channels are not complete and only contain shows that are supposed to be in high def.

Thats a problem because I only have the high def channels in my guide and have used the normal channel listings.
So if I have to match the channel to the listing then I am left with gaps in the guide.(unless it has changed and I am unaware of that)

My only solution for this would be to populate the highdef guide fully.

Windows Media Center / ABC2 and double up shows.
November 02, 2006, 02:52:58 PM
I have a problem where some of the series I record are run more than once a week.
This seems to be mainly on ABC2, most of these shows will record both times for each week which is a pain in the butt.

Doesn't make any difference if I change the settings to record only first run or any of the other options, I have to either manually stop it recording or delete.

Good Game is an example its run three times a week and gets recorded both times, also has a very generic description.
Quite a few of the shows on ABC2 are repeated each week and with no real description its not easy to sort them out.
Love to see a solution for this type of thing.

Thanks Circuit

I think we need to do a bit more whinging about some of these problems, surely its been tested.

Hope to see a reply from an Ice representative.

Yes I've got exactly the same problem with mine.
Noticed that there was a post a month or so ago and apparently Ice's data was wrong and was then fixed.
