Genius! I had exactly the same problem! My icon was on the hidden icons part of the task bar, but when I right clicked it i got no options. Couldn't double click it, got no splash screen when opening interactive from the start menu.

I deleted everything in the C:\ProgramData\IceTV\Interactive\3.0 folder, reinstalled. Now when I right click on the task bar icon I get some options and can access the application through there.

Clearly something needs to be changed in the installer to clear these old files or just do something to fix this problem.

Windows Media Center / Re: Windows 7 64bit

i'm using 64bit and everything seems to be working fine for me

Same here, it's all working perfectly. Only thing is the padding issue. Apart from that and a couple of tiny little things that don't really effect anything, the beta is working perfectly.

In media centre do this

Tasks -> Settings -> TV -> TV Signal -> Scan for more channels -> then you go from there...... should be an option in there to delete all existing channel data....

in the ice interactive running on your computer open it, click the EPG tab, then click the 'now' button. That should update all EPG data and consequently delete the old data.

You need to check to make sure your actually USING the Ice EPG not just downloading it then using the inline guides.

Thanks for the update! Any information is good information.....but that info was great!

I still use some programs that don't work properly on Vista - They say they support xp so they support xp.

IceTV have not said that they support 7MC, so any service that you have paid for has been for xp or Vista. Full stop.

Having said that, it is in IceTV's best interest to fully support 7MC because they will loose business if they don't. I’m sure that they are aware of that.

I hope this is the last thread I read about this issue

Haha, so true! But i get this feeling they their all working very hard on it. It's just that their PR is absolutely shocking.....they need to gradually leak information to their users so they feel like there's progress being made. Not just do everything behind closed doors them plonk it down all at once.

I rekon they should just cut shows off that run too long...pretty sure that would entice them to stick to the schedule

that was just for ice EPG data.....he's talking about Interactive....

I mean, whats the point of EPG alone when it's sent inline now anyways? Cept for some slight differences here and there.

Ice never said it would support Windoes7 upon it's release....... everyone's just making assumptions....

You're not paying for win7 interactive anyways, you're paying for all of the functionality that ice currently offers, if that's not what your interested in then you should cancel your subscription until they can offer you what you really want.

That being said, I foolishly upgraded to Windows7 about a month ago and just expected Ice to support it, I was so wrecked when I realized that it didn't. But I'm happy to report that the Beta is running very nicely, even with it's little problems I'm happy to say that it hasn't missed a single show that I've scheduled. So maybe you won't have to cancel that subscription after all  :D

i dunno...make sure you have selected win7 in the interactive devices thing....and make sure you have a profile on the ice TV web site for win7
#13
open the ice interactive on your desktop, and log in, then force it up update the new EPG data.....so you know that's avalible. Make sure you watch the status at the bottom to see if it works.

then do this in media center

settings -> TV -> guide -> edit channels

Check to see if the Ice versions of the channels are in there. you didn't really mention if you had done any of this stuff to check. So you may have already done it.

hope that helps

Windows Media Center / Re: Program recording issue
October 25, 2009, 08:05:33 PM
I just restart my computer mid recording (by choice, not cos i was forced) and it picked up the show again perfectly.

it was split into 2 separate recordings, one before and one after the reset.

All my shows are scheduled and working in Media center, but on the interactive site all i can see is donuts! Like the recordings are still queued. But they all worked already.... it's been like that for a couple of hours, it'll probably just fix it's self later, and it's not affecting any functionality. Tho if any of my shows fail to record i won't be able to see it through interactive.

It's been a couple of days now and the problem is still happening, anyone else experiencing this problem?

Seems, that my new shows are recording properly, i expect it has something to do with trying to schedule my shows for a second time. I think there was something about that in the beta description...
