Hi

Nine promos indicate that "uncut" Underbelly this week is starting from the beginning of the original series. Two Underbelly "uncut" eps previously screened on TV - Best Laid Plans and Team Purana - but these were from much later in the series. For this reason, we're going to leave the eps marked as new, with "uncut" prefacing the ep title. Yes, they've screened before, sort of, but not in this "uncut" version.

If we repeat flag them, subscribers who want to get Underbelly with extra violence and nudity will miss out. :)

I was about to post a question asking why this weeks episode of Underbelly - Uncut 'Best Laid Plans' was flagged as a repeat (and hence my series recording has not created a timer), when I came across the above post which I guess explains it. But I'm not sure whether in this case treating the episodes individually with respects to their repeat flag is the correct thing to do; as it is the first time the entire uncut series has been shown I think each episode should be flagged the same ie not as a repeat.

Cheers,

Bruce

Ide rather have F1 in HD, the most watched sport in the world (outside of events that are on every 4 years), than some sport 2/3s of flip all people watch. In the grand scheme of world sport AFL doesnt rate.

I didn't realise Australian FTA TV was transmitted worldwide?

Biggest Loser is on SD only later in the week. The HD/SD preference really needs to be fast tracked it's an elementary requirement with the networks chopping and changing their schedules.

I'd just like to add my vote to this - currently I have everything scheduled for "Any Channel" and am manually deleting duplicate schedulings or recordings. Not ideal, but better than missing a recording and having a grumpy wife!

Me too; it's an option that should be there for automated timer setting application. As is some sort of priority setting to handle clashes.
I took up Vortical's suggestion of creating a Favourite for each timer; that way you can quickly check your timers via the Guide or My Upcoming Shows. But I am also changing some timers to All Channels to be safe.
Of course it would be better if you didn't have to...

This feature would be especially handy now as the broadcasters are rejigging their broadcast patterns, presumably because of the Freeview changes. For example Lost no longer appears to be broadcast on 7HD.

Because of my manual checks everyday they don't get missed but this is getting beyond the joke.

I don't understand why the Ice team appear mute on this issue; they certainly contribute to other topics. Mind you, I logged a ticket regarding my occurrence last week, and I haven't heard back from Ice as yet.

Come on Ice, please get this fixed ???

They are set up as "first runs", but the shows are not flagged as repeats, and the channel has not changed. In both instances, I clicked the Record button which not only queued a timer, but gave it the series recording icon, not a single recording icon.

It looks to be a fault in Interactive; I've seen it happen before (but normally when I'm setting up new series recordings, and I change something).

I've just realised that Interactive has not created timers for at least two Series recordings that have just started back after the tennis. The Series recordings for these shows worked fine last season, but not now.

Similar issue; the show has no recording icon against it at all in Interactive, but if you select it in the guide it says it is part of a Series Recording. There is no timer conflict at play, they just didn't queue a timer in Interactive at all.

A bit annoying really; it defeats the purpose if you have to check the timer list IMO.

I guess that explains why 24: Redemption didn't record for me...

Likewise, much appreciated...

Roger,

It looks like Ice have made some sort of commitment to answer essentially the same question as yours on this thread. Like you, I am eagerly awaiting their response...

Just to rule out the obvious; in your 'My Account' section on the Ice web site have you switched on the SBS channel?

Cheers,

Reckon others will be starting a thread soon on compensation....

Why? I imagine most reasonable Ice users would want nothing to do with it. It would seem they are fighting a desperate battle at the moment, and you want to take issue with them because Nein gained an injunction which forced Ice to remove their scheduling data?

I now think it is the same issue, I assumed initially it was due to schedule changes. But I've just had another instance where a series ends, but a timer is created for the same timeslot the following week.
