Beyonwiz / Re: Beyonwiz firmware updates
September 29, 2024, 12:43:30 PM
Quote from: Rob VDN on September 24, 2024, 02:16:45 PMI do indeed have the latest firmware operating on the beyonwiz (19.3) so that's good.

19.3 is a series of 26 software releases. The most recent 19.3 release was 20211010. There have been no firmware updates since it was released in October 2021, apart from picon updates and updates to Adoxa's private collection of plugins (if you use them).

You haven't successfully attached your images. I think you need to use the "Attachments and other options" menu below the text entry box when you create your post.

Quote from: BazzaG on July 19, 2024, 09:20:33 AMWell I'll be! ...

https://beta.bom.gov.au/

The previous BOM beta, https://weather.bom.gov.au/ was also HTTPS, but it got canned. That URL now redirects to the BOM's current non-HTTPS page. I really don't think that redirecting a HTTPS request to a HTTP URL is a great idea.

Quote from: BazzaG on July 18, 2024, 10:07:35 AMNot 100% sure for the T4 but they are for the U4.

Picon updates are always for all models. The 26 June update has updated picons for its front panel, as well as the on-screen picons.

Beyonwiz / Re: Beyonwiz Forums
July 18, 2024, 10:26:32 AM
Quote from: Trial_Master on July 18, 2024, 09:34:31 AMI wonder if picons will still be updated by community members?

The most recent picon update was made available on 26 June. It should be available for online update from its usual feed if your Beyonwiz is networked: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9n1jx58m#r74324869

It has picon updates for:
TVSN picon for channels rebranded from ishoptv to TVSN
Go! HD picon in regions where Go! HD is now a HD simulcast of Go!.
ABC Entertains and ABC Family/ABCKids rebrands.
Ten Peach Comedy & Ten BOLD Drama rebrands.
Picons for the rename of SBS Pop Desi to SBS South Asian (radio channel)

In the works are:
Better picon for ABC Family/ABCKids (the current one just has the ABC Family logo).
Replace TVSN picon for Ten with You.tv picon to reflect new channel name/content, and add You.tv picon in non-metro regions where You.tv is an added channel.
Add new picon for WIN's new channel that replaces its old TVSN (now migrated to Ten), whenever that happens (I haven't been able to find an announcement.

I still haven't decided whether I'll wait until I know what WIN's new channel is before I do another set of updates.

Also: the cybersquatters who were sitting on the Beyonwiz feed DNS names have abandoned them, and peteru has got control of them back, so the feeds are now all online. But only the picons are being updated.

Ian_AW's suggestion of logging out then logging back in (https://forum.icetv.com.au/iceforum/index.php?topic=8086.0) fixed the problem, but doesn't explain it.

I seem to be having a similar problem. See: https://forum.icetv.com.au/iceforum/index.php?topic=8086.0

Logging out then logging back in fixed it, as it did for you.

When I looked in the iPhone app this morning, there was nothing in My Week, Recommended or New Series, but there was in TV Guide. Swiping down in My Week to force a reload didn't help. I tried Settings>Reset Application, but all that did was remove the data in the TV Guide, so that now none of the IceTV data pages show any data.

I can still access everything in my IceTV account Web pages, so I don't think it's an account issue.

I also don't think that this is a problem with the new version of the iOS app, either, because I haven't had any problems with the new app version until today.

BYOB / Re: Counting Tuners
July 05, 2024, 04:52:07 PM
Quote from: raymondjpg on July 05, 2024, 04:13:13 PMI'm not sure that it could be said that PVR performance has progressed much these days with respect to number of channels per tuner. It's better than before with the Topfield, but nowhere near as good as PC based applications such as Icebox.

The new series Beyonwizes (T/U/V models) have no set limit on the number of channels that can be recorded simultaneously. They are still limited to recording from one broadcaster per tuner (and I know of no full band tuners for FTA).

Beyonwiz / Re: All channels disabled

A failed channel scan on a Beyonwiz can disable channels on IceTV, but I've never had problems with re-enabling them through my Web login to IceTV.

IceTV EPG Content / Spies in The Dish?
June 10, 2024, 03:09:25 PM
Movie: The Dish 9HD, 9:15pm, Tue, 11 Jun

From the synopsis: "Man is about to land on the moon for the very first time and the spooks at NASA want Parkes' radio telescope to relay TV signals!"

Has someone confused NASA (space research) with the NSA (signals intelligence)?

I don't recall any spooks, whether spies or ghosts, in The Dish :)

IceTV EPG Content / World On Fire - repeat?
June 10, 2024, 03:03:53 PM
World On Fire 'Series 2, Episode 4' SBS HD, 10:35pm, Fri, 14 Jun
is marked as first run. I think it's a repeat.

Quote from: Bigboboz2 on June 09, 2024, 09:40:40 PMGreat to see you both here - any other active forums for the Beyonwiz?

There are some Beyonwiz-related topics in the Whirlpool PVRs area, but they're pretty quiet:
