Beyonwiz / Beyonwiz T2 not showing as device
November 04, 2015, 05:21:37 PM
I have a new Beyonwiz T2 on the way, to replace the SKIPPA that never was.
I was looking at my account on IceTv and noticed that there is no "T2" option for Beyonwiz devices under "My TV Recorders" - there's a T3 and a T4.

Which do I select as my device type when I come to set up my T2 for IceTv?

Is it possible to move all scheduled recordings from one device (eg "Beyonwiz" for me) to "Skippa" so I don't miss any scheduled recordings when Skippa arrives?
It would be a pain to do this one by one.

SKIPPA / How does Skippa skip the adverts?
June 23, 2015, 10:03:29 PM
Some fancy algorithm?
Something flagged in the stream?
We came up with another idea today at work...

An offshore call centre type operation with operators watching tv and manually flagging when the adverts come on, then this info gets sent to our Skippas via the internet connection.

Hope that's cleared up any confusion!

SKIPPA / Harmony remotes and Skippa
June 15, 2015, 01:01:23 PM
Question for the IceTv guys-
Will you be providing the remote codes to Logitech for their Harmony remote database (please)?

Logitec have announced the Harmony Link remote control system for iPads, iPhones and Android which uses WiFi to control your devices.
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/tablet-accessories/for-ipad/devices/harmony-link
It claims to have a TV guide.
It would be great if it could be set up to use IceTV...

What say you, administrators?

Does IceTV Remote work with the new "Lite" Beyonwiz???
...or the FV-L1 for that matter?

I understand that the EPG from Ice works, but can we remotely program???

TIA,
Kev.

Topfield / IceBox1 connecting via ethernet
April 28, 2008, 03:11:20 PM
I have a Netgear IceBox 1 which performs perfectly for Ice updates.
However, I have just added an Apple AirportExpress to my system, and it doesn't like using WEP passwords. I've set it up for WPA, but of course, now the IceBox won't connect to the network as it can only habndle WEP.

So...can I connect the IceBox to my network with an Ethernet cable to the AirPort (so it's no longer using its own WiFi connection)? I've tried it but can't see the IceBox on the network...

Can anyone let me know if this setup would work and if so, how?

One day I hope to upgrade to an HD PVR, but not just yet.

Thanks,
Kev.

August 21, 2007, 03:20:47 PM
Does anyone know if the oricinal Netgear IceBox will work with the new Beyonwiz DP-P1 ??
Thinking of upgrading my Topfield and don't need the DVD player of the DP-S1.
