Perhaps CuriousGeorge was told he was 275th in the queue of outstanding orders.  ie.  Not where he was in the queue of all orders (including those small amount that have now been fulfilled).

It looks like only a small quantity have been shipped from the manufacturer with the remainder coming a week later. I don't how many are arriving this week until they get here. If it's more than 280 yours will be sent to you by Monday (your order was the 275th).

I'm guessing the small amount shipped are the testing devices that were shown in a photo. I'm wondering if Centrebet will take bets on another Friday delay email coming out - i'm guessing odds would be 1.04 if they could take them.......

I also contacted them and was told that I was number 275 - I ordered on the first day pre-orders opened. The invocies seem to be sequential and mine is 201070, noting that other services/devices would be purchased.

FMB - pmsl - that is hilarious, however they may just use your story on Friday.

On a serious side, there is a little bit of legislation called the Trade Practices Act 1974 and it has a section on misleading and deceptive conduct. This is perhaps something that IceTV should review given their public statements on shipping, when they will be delivered and the fact that to date the devices have made it to Hong Kong. Section 18 staeres:

18 Misleading or deceptive conduct
(1) A person must not, in trade or commerce, engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or is likely to mislead or deceive.

Just checked my status and it is still pending in my account, although it is early on the 10th.

I'm still holding out hope of getting it mid September rather than late.....

For reference my invoice is 201070 @ 19:33.

Dave - have you shipped any Skippas this week? The silence from your regulars on this forum would indicate that you haven't shipped any as yet - but that is mere speculation.

My first post....I am one of the 'missing' people who preordered @ $399 and have been follow comments to date. I ordered the Skippa on 25th June as my LG PVR stopped working and I was curious to the the ad skipping. However I was lead to believe it would be delivered at the end of July, then August and now September - which is a 'first world problem' but slightly annoying, on reflection I should have purchased any other PVR from IceTV.

For everyone's benefit I received the following from Dave yesterday:
