No news a bit of discussion back and forward, Last night (8thTuesday) Media Centre lost EPG for ABC yet again. Anyone else suffer this?

Been in contact with the ABC guy who looks after the Digital streams, they swapped from main to standby stream/epg generator on Friday, it should not have had any impact but has. He is looking into the problem.

I rescanned the channels in win 7 media center tonight to get the new abc 24 channel and found that they were picked up as follows:
Channel 100 = ABC News 24
Channel 101 = ABC 1
Channel 102 = ABC 2
Channel 106 = ABC 3

This doesn't seem right to me. Did anyone else find the same?

Yes, I have spoken to the ABC Reception advice lady and she "was" going to get engineering to look at it.  So far nothing back from the ABC.  Can you please call them on 1300 13 9994 and add one more complaint to their list?

Did a rescan on Windows 7 and it put ABC News 24 on lcn 24 but I got no 21 and the radio channels went to 25 and 26.

So I scanned a sd stb and it put 2 21 22 23 24 200 201
But I cant see ABC News 24 as its in HD! Isn't it meant to be in sd?

If you do a full rescan Windows 7 is messing up the LCN's from the ABC, its allocating them to 101,102,103,etc other states are reporting the same problem.

Vista is OK. Great more problems.

So... why can't Ice do whatever voodoo magic they do to get TV guides from the commercials if they can't get the official feed from WTV up?

Can we get an update please?

It appears to be a bit of a stalemate, according to WTV  IceTv have to contact them.  Below is a reply from WTV's facebook page.

WTV Ice TV have to contact us. We don't have the resources to track down every program guide operator.

ABC HD listings missing in Perth

Me too, Perth Ch20 data keeps disappearing in Media Centre, on 3 different PC's.

ABC HD (ch20) Listings are missing in Vista Media Centre Perth, problem started with tonights update 24/04.

Any ideas ?

Well ABC 2 and 20 Perth are all stuffed in Microsoft Media Centre, Sunday OK but Monday onwards is complete rubbish.

WTF? now ICE have removed the Ch70 and Ch12 HD info except for "wait till 2008".  This means all my Media Centre recordings set for these channels will fail.

But it's not ICETV's fault that you chose to upgrade to Vista. They are providing the guide data OK, if your choice of end device doesn't work properly, that's hardly their fault. I mean, why should they provide a free service, when you could just as easily revert to MCE2005 and have a working service?

Not trying to start a fight here BUT Ice is not a free service ! They say it works with Vista and it doesn't.  So remove the bull from their web site saying "Vista Ready" until its fixed.  Ice have been really quiet on the subject and thats a pain for their loyal users.

A bit more info for you to pass on Impact.

I use Websceduler for most recording on an XP machine, for the last 2 weeks I have set up to record 24 Ch 7 Wednesday nights both on SD and HD channel, just after 24 has finished on Ch7 (23:34:19 to be precise) both weeks the HD capture has failed for no apparent reason.  SD sails along fine and stops at correct time.  According to the capture engine there is no data but signal strength is OK.

Now for the link to Vista, I set up a record of 24 HD only on MCE, Guide was fine when I put the machine in standby. It did as it was told woke up recorded for 90 minutes and shutdown.  When I started the MCE this morning the Guide was messed up on Ch7.  Looking at the recorded show there is a small stutter at 21:34 which I reckon is Ch7 doing something and bang there goes the guide.

Not much to go on but I am pretty sure you have watching or recording the channel for the Guide to mess up.  For example I hardly ever watch SBS live and have only seen one corruption and that was after a live session.
