While I am definitely keen to buy one of these units when they become available, I'm not sure I'd make a good "beta tester".  My TV watching habits are a far cry from what most people do...

I'm well aware that this extreme advertisement avoidance strategy is bordering on OCD behaviour, and very few (if any) other people would go to these extremes.

I leave it to your judgement as to whether or not you think I'd be a good beta tester, or just a good customer/consumer.

It's a decision made out of necessity as Humax has left the PVR business and Beyonwiz are receding so we decided, maybe a few years too late, to try to become as hardware agnostic as possible. Either via BYOB or possibly easily available and cost competitive "IceTV" miniPCs. Also, to say the expensive Skippa debacle has made me very wary of any specific PVR manufacturer would be an understatement!

Count me in, as someone who would be very interested in buying an "IceTV" miniPC.  One of my 2x Beyonwiz T2s died recently, so I will definitely be in the market for a replacement IceTV box if/when you make them available.

The ACT guide for Monday 6th June is currently showing 10HD Canberra programming on both 10HD Canberra (correct) and 9HD (incorrect).

I noticed it when "Have You Been Paying Attention?" showed up in My Week, on 9HD - further investigation indicated that it's the whole day's programming which is incorrect.

I think the first episode was broadcast in order to entice people to subscribe to Stan.  Ch 10 did something similar with The Twilight Zone, broadcasting the first episode on FTA and then forcing people to their subscription service for the rest of the series.

Sorry to do this to you again, but next week's episode of Hard Quiz is another "Battle of the Duds", and once again it's incorrectly marked as a repeat.

I appreciate that this recycling of episode titles must be a living nightmare for you and your systems.

Thanks @GaiO, and sorry for the passive-aggressive post earlier.  I do get a bit frustrated, given how many times "Battle of the Duds" episodes have incorrectly been flagged as repeats.  Recycling the same episode title must frustrate your software systems no end.

It's happened again.  This is what, the 5th time that a new Battle of the Duds episode has been marked as a repeat?

This is marked as a repeat (S5E13).  While it is another "Battle of the Duds", it's not a repeat.  They do regular "Battle of the Duds" episodes, and it's not the first time IceTV has incorrectly flagged new BotD episodes as being repeated.

I have been having problems with Doctor Who, since the new series started 4 weeks ago.

The first scheduled broadcast is on Monday nights, at 7:30pm, on ABC TV Plus/Kids.  Looking at this in the IceTV Website, it has a message: "This show is part of a series recording but will not be recorded. (Show does not match requested quality setting.)".  This is a problem in itself, given that IceTV did away with series quality settings a year or two back.  The series timer was originally created many years ago, and may have been set to "HD Only" - but there's no longer any way to change that setting, and the quality setting is supposed to be ignored.

The second scheduled broadcast is on Thursday nights, at 9:35pm, on ABC HD.  This one is tagged as a repeat, and has the following reason for not being sent to the PVR: "This show is part of a series recording but will not be recorded. (Repeat showing but series set for first runs only.)".  I could set the timer to record repeats, which would catch this broadcast... but I shouldn't need to.

The end result is that the show is broadcast twice per week, once in something that vaguely approximates SD, and once in something that barely approximates HD.  Neither results in a timer being sent to my PVR.

It's gone haywire again.  Monday's episode is now marked as a repeat.  It's a new episode.

It was correct when I looked at it earlier (last night?), but it's broken again now.
