I have to report that as of Saturday 3rd of January that this problem still exists on my system and my sisters.  I cannot record anything from the Widget on her TV from the wiget and I can only record one programme on my widget.

I guess the subject says it all really.
Got home this evening and could not control the Toppy - only the OFF and Channel Changes and setup would work.  No Archive etc.
Listened to the harddisk and I could hear it seeking the boot tracks.
Question:- Assuming the drive is rooted - what brand do I replace it with, and what's the procedure for formatting the new drive?

The silence on this issue is almost deafening. :)

In anyhow on Saturday I deleted all preset recordings and am pleased to say the problem with the phantom recording has (for now) dissapeared.

Now it's hard to know when this started but...

Every Saturday evening bang on the dot of 8:30 my 5000pvrt starts recording Channel 2 (The Bill) and the title is called whatever is showing on Sunday at 8:30pm (currently Jerico).

There is nothing in the timer control settings to indicate that on every Saturday at 8:30 for the Toppy to start recording. ???

   Help please - I can't stand the BILL!!! >:(

The Improbox licence key is bulletproof.  You don't have to delete it nor do you have to uninstall the tap... just move it from Auto Start to Program Files. There is nothing wrong with the ICE file manager (in that regard)...  you can't delete the licence key with anything and it is designed to be that way.

Improbox is completely and comprehensively configurable.  If you go to the Improbox menu you can configure it to NOT use the 0 key.  From memory, by default, it uses the 0 key to jump to the start of a recorded file.

1) the Imprcbox was not installed in the Auto Start. >:(
2) I think it totally wrong that a file can be installed as Read Only! Think of all those TAPS all with their own R/O files clogging up valuable H/D space. :'(
3) The Quick Guide makes no mention of how to reconfigure keys. :(

In any case the issue is now dead, having just installed ProgressBarKeys, with its more than adequate documentataion.

I installed a Tap recommended by my local dealer called "Improbox".  Now I found out that it interferes with tha aspect ratio key "0" so I need to unistall it.  But when I try to delete the file "improbox.key" it refuses to delete it.  Instead I get the following gobbley from ICE Guide...

Any ideas would be appreciated ;)

Speaking of wireless, you may or may not know that Netgear have discontinued the router we have been using.  Until we find a new supply our stocks are limited so we will be selling them to ice subscribers only.

Given the amount of drop out problems I've been getting (bought a pair wgt634u's from you Daniel about 6 weeks ago).
I can  say I'm not at all sorry to see them discontinued. [smiley=angry.gif]

My problems only dissapeared when I bought a Belkin Pre-N and I've not had a drop-out since!  Not a cheap unit, but it works, and works well. ;D
