I created a single recording from the iPhone app for mission impossible a few days ago but noticed today that it wasn't there. I can tell it was there originally as when I opened the app it was shown as a solid red dot momentarily but then disappeared when the app refreshed. I then tried to add it again and received an error which suggested resetting the app. Subsequent tries gave the same error.
I have now just created the recording directly on the T4.
But these has some similarities with eafywan's post below.
I'm having the same problem recording an episode of Antiques roadshow on We 28 at 4pm. The recording originally appears to create with the red unfilled circle. Then if I go back into the app it has disappeared. If I try to create it again then I get an error.
The icetv log on the T4 shows no mention apart from the standard ok messages
Hi Simon,
I can definitely see something odd happening, will check it out now.
Actually now that I look, I have quite a few issues with recordings not appearing on the T4 and some that have been removed from the app are still there.
There is some communication though, because if I add a timer on the T4, it appears on icetv as expected d.
How does your scheduled list look now?
That's much worse. Most of the single episode recordings have now disappeared from the icetv app and from the T4 - even the ones that were ok earlier. Some single episodes from series that I had said to not record are now being recorded. I have series being recorded on te T4 that had been removed from icetv.
Hi Simon,
Now that it should have all synched, how is it looking now on the T4 and website?
No improvement. I'll need to re add a lot of episode recordings and note how to fix up the series recordings that aren't working.
What were some of the shows that were one-offs that have disappeared?
Mainly movies. Galaxy Quest, Soylent Green. Maybe others
Right, I see them there now, let me see what I can do.
One offs have been done but there's a few series that are not updating - unforgotten isn't on the T4 but Line of Duty is, even though I cancelled the series recording for it.
I'm trying to update those series to see if that resolves it
Also, no series recordings on Wednesday 28th have made it to the T4 and are shown as queued on the app.
Yes, for the 28th they will be queued right now, we currently implement a 6 day sliding window, so only shows that start before the current time on the 28th will be sent to the Beyonwiz (to ensure all guide data is available before the timer is set).
Unforgotten is definitely a weird one it is currently listed as "Completed" with a message from the Beyonwiz of "Recorded on Beyonwiz T4" which is obviously not correct as its on tomorrow night... I have manually set it back to a "Waiting" state for now to get it to re-schedule.
Is the 6 day thing recent as we used to get some timers appearing weeks ahead.
Yes, but it was a bug that was fixed a month or so ago.
This seems to be the same sort of thing I am experiencing. I have tried to record the Graham Norton Show tonight and it won't add it. The ICE TV log in the T4 shows the timer was deleted and now wont add again. It was in the list to be recorded in both the app and in the T4 timers until today. This has happened randomly with movies for me as well, but not for a while, only seems to happen on shows that have been set as a single recording rather than a series.

Hi eafywan,
It looks like the Graham Norton show is currently set to record, but I can see where it got deleted.
I have enabled some additional logging on your account, if you could try one of these timers again and let me know the show I can have a look through the logs to see what is happening.
Hi Daniel, I added that timer manually using the guide on the T4, then resynced and it now shows it ready to record.
It's not looking good for me. The timer for galaxy quest that started at 18:30 inexplicably got deleted at 18:50 (its in the log) so only 20 mins have been recorded.
I'm now concerned about the integrity of all of my other timers so I will probably have to disable icetv and set all manually

Ahh yep, checked that one out and found the issue, this has now been corrected.
I've just had this same issue again. This time with Blair Witch project. I set a one off recording for it but just noticed that it isn't recording.
When I opened the app I could see that I originally set it as a recording as the red dot was initially there but disappeared when the app refreshed.
There are quite a number of bugs in the Android app (I'm not sure which one you're using, but the iOS one may have similar issue). Trying to record one-off and repeat shows in the app is a mess. I no longer use the app much for setting recordings because it always means checking in the guide to see whether the show that I want to set the recording on is a new series. Otherwise I have to use the Web page to set the recording anyway.
See: Recording one-off shows and other problems with Recommendations (http://recordingone-offshowsandotherproblemswithrecommendations) (Dec 2017). In particular "... if you set up a recording for a repeat from the app's Recommendations, the recording defaults to 'First runs'. Worse, there's no way of telling whether a recording set this way is a repeat or not, except by going back to Search or TV Guide."
Dave at IceTV responded about a fortnight after I posted with "I did forward this on with a comment saying that it was nice of you to collate all of the Android quirks into one page to make it easier when we update the Android app." However, there hasn't been an update to the Android app since.
I "bumped" the topic in May, but there wasn't any response.
tl;dr: Don't use the Android app to set recordings on one-off shows or repeats. The iOS app may have the same issues, but I don't know.
