Title: New 7HD programming
Post by: Phattchoo on May 10, 2016, 09:41:04 PM
Hi Guys,
I've just noticed 7HD is now broadcasting, so finally footy in HD!!

Currently my Beyonwiz T4 is pulling the same guide data as 7sd (as HD is using LCN 30 I believe).
However in Perth, 7HD is a HD Simulcast of 7mate (LCN 73).

Does anyone know how I can correct this, to have the 7mate guide map to 7HD?

That could depend on which state you are in.

If you are in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth then 7HD is a simulcast of 7mate.

If you are in Adelaide or Melbourne then 7HD is a simulcast of 7 Digital.

In all five cities 7HD is mpeg-4 HD and 7mate is now SD.

Actually, this is the reason why in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth it is using 7Mate as the AFL is broadcast on 7Mate in these regions. But for Melbourne and Adelaide the AFL is broadcast on 7 Digital.

I really wish they didn't change the output for channel 70 in Sydney; its really screwed things up for me.

Basically I've been using 70 as my main channel 7 station for quite a while now; this is because then it was to line up with it being future HD channel. Intention was to stay on 70 now as SD and when in future it change to HD still using the same channel and no real changes for me & family. But now having it revert to 7mate has screwed things being recorded and normally selecting 70 for standard 7 channel..... arghhhhh

There is also a very very good chance that the programming could change before the Olympics starts as well, but there is no confirmation on that at this time.

Looks like 7HD will changeover in the Perth, Sydney and Brisbane markets and midnight Friday to simulcast the main channel.

I imagine that will make setting an Ice TV based timer for the opening ceremony at 4 am tricky.

So once again the regional areas miss out on one of the most important sports events broadcast, why no 7HD for everyone?????!!!!!

The regionals don't  get 7flix, either.

Are you sure that you want 7flix. The shows are 92% repeats, and mostly '80s and '90s sitcoms and '40s B movies.

I care about 7flix to about the same extent as I care about the football on 7HD.

Simply pointing out that Seven has decided not to carry 7flix in the regions, much the same as their decision on 7HD.

Agent Carter is on 7flix, but that seems to be the only first run show

There are a few other first run programs on 7flix: Scandal, Once Upon A Time. The evening files films tend to be 1980s plus.

Agent Carter is on 7flix ...
That's about the only thing on 7flix that I actually wanted to watch. There's always catchup TV if I really care.
