Title: Didn't have to do anything for new channels 90 and 94
Post by: ozbear on November 27, 2015, 12:54:11 PM
I received the email from IceTV about how to add the new Channel 9HD (90) to Windows 7 Media Center.  When I checked the guide on Media Center box both 90 (9-HD) and 94 (Life) with their new channel logos appeared in my guide.  I also went to settings->Guide->edit channels and both those new ones were in my list, check marked, and with the -IceTV suffix.

Naturally I am delighted it all happened for me automagically so I guess my question is, should it have? If yes, why the email?

Most recorders will manage automatically. Some do it better than others. The reason for the email was in case people's recorders had not updated automatically or in case they ended up with a combination of guide data showing for one or more channels.

I am having a great time ATM, doing everything backwards. (AKA the hard way) I read the email, did as it told me to, never occurred to me to check to see what it looks like before I did that!

Good news is, at least that is one thing I managed to achieve without  a hitch!  (crossing fingers, maybe I shouldn't say that!)
