Title: T3 - incorrect EPG data in Melbourne
Post by: Chuckles on September 27, 2014, 03:35:08 PM
There appears to be a significant mismatch between the EPG data being sent to my T3 and the IceTV website itself.

E.g. the attached screenshots from my T3 show:

Channel 7, 19:00-21:00 - Brave
   - the IceTV website and Channel 7's website both show this starting at 19:30. IceTV has even set the timer on my T3 for 19:30.

Channel 7mate, 19:30 - 21:30 - Megastructures followed by Ultimate Factories
   - the IceTV website and Channel 7's website both show that it will be "The Italian Job" showing at this time.

The IceTV plugin log on the T3 shows EPG downloads occurring regularly. If I try to "Fetch EPG and update timers now" the log tells me there are "No EPG updates".

So - what gives???  >:(

P.S. My DP-P2 on the same account has the CORRECT data in its EPG.

There has been a suggestion (http://www.beyonwiz.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=8376#p112793) on the Beyonwiz forum that this kind of problem can be caused by having MENU>Settings>TV>EPG settings>Automatic save turned on. The IceTV code for the T3 isn't publicly available, so it's hard to check why.

I'm surprised that the setting would have that effect, but perhaps it interferes with the IceTV plugin's own backing up of the EPG.

There is an update available to improve IceTV functionality, including client side padding.

Available now either as an online update or USB upgrade image (http://peteru.net/T3/beyonwiz-4.2-beyonwizt3-20141001_usb.zip).
