Title: Recording ABC News.
Post by: mitty on April 09, 2013, 09:49:07 PM
Okay so I'm wanting to record ABC News on ABC 1 every night at 7pm.  I'm using Win 7 Media Centre.

Should I set it from Media Centre itself?  Or can I do it from the ICE TV website?  I did set it form the ICE website but occasionally even though it's showing as scheduled there, the recording doesn't happen on the Win 7 machine.  I don't want repeats on the same channel and I also don't want all the ABC Newses from News24.

Hi mitty,

To set it via IceTV you will want to set the series recording to "Standard def. only" which will then only record the ABC1 showing.

That's what I've done on the past.  It seems to work some of the time but not all of the time.  EG last night (sunday) the news simply didn't record.

I've now added it as a series recording in Win Media Centre itself.  Will see how that goes.

It also sometimes happens with the 7.30 report as well.
