Post by: Daniel Drysdale at IceTV on September 21, 2010, 04:00:21 PM
Channel Seven and Channel Nine are set to launch their latest channels

7mate on the Seven Network

Billed as being a "bloke-friendly" channel which promises to clear backyard sheds across the nation.

Programming on the channel is set to include first run episodes of popular shows like Gene Simmons, Family Jewels, Punk'd, Nitro Circus, American Dad, Family Guy, the list goes on. Suffice it to say if you're male and old enough to vote then there is likely to be something on this channel that appeals to you.

7mate will be replacing 7HD but will also be moving from Channel 70 to Channel 73.

At this time the Seven Network are advising that 7mate will launch on Saturday, September 25 at 6pm after the high definition coverage of the 2010 AFL Grand Final, which starts at 12.15pm.

For more information see 7mate (http://au.tv.yahoo.com/mate/article/-/article/7759064/)

To ensure you get access to the new channel when it becomes available, you will need to perform a 'channel rescan' on your TV Recorder at home, once the new channel becomes available.

If you need instructions or are unsure how to do this, please click here (http://www.icetv.com.au/cgi-bin/websupport.cgi) for the applicable Setup Guide (http://www.icetv.com.au/cgi-bin/websupport.cgi) for your TV Recorder, or read the following;

GEM on the Nine Network

GEM is targeted at the 35+ female market with a mix of new content, classic comedies, cherished drama series, all-time favourite movies, and oddly all of Nine's sport coverage in high definition

Leading the GEM lineup is the acclaimed new US drama series The Big C, starring Laura Linney as a woman making the most of her life after being diagnosed with cancer.

Also featuring on the new channel will be Weeds, Southland, Miami Medical, Secret Diary Of a Call Girl, The New Adventures of Old Christine and a host of others.

GEM will be replacing Nine HD and will remain on Channel 90 so it will not be necessary to update your TV Recorder in order to receive the new channel.

At this time the Nine Network are advising that GEM will launch on Sunday, September 26.
