Title: The Bill - is it now HD?
Post by: mikeathome on September 07, 2009, 02:32:03 PM
Apparently the episode from last Saturday (5th Sep) was recorded and telecast in the UK in HD. It and subsequent episodes were not shown by ICE as HD - don't know whether it is being telecast here in HD or not. How does one find out? - the ABC on line TV guide doesn't help.

The HD status is listed in the ABC guides available in the Advanced Guides (http://www.tvtonight.com.au/advance-guides) section of TV Tonight (http://www.tvtonight.com.au/) web site.

The Bill isn't listed as HD for the next two weeks, so doesn't like the ABC are showing these episodes in HD.

Far as I know there has been a few The Bill in HD now. Not sure but may be last month or so.
But the ABC was showing the HD version on ABC2 (in SD of course) for some unknown reason (going by the film effect on there and on Ivew).

They must of had both versions sent to them and mixed it up. I know there's been a few due to reading the ITV website and a few UK forums.

Will take a bit of getting used to the new look and now only One ep a week (45 mins) to keep me going.
