Title: Good news for ICEtv?
Post by: delbz on November 08, 2005, 08:59:18 PM
It seems that ninemsn have now encrypted their TV guide web pages making the "unofficial" TV guide grabbers break.
I'd imagine that should cause a few extra ICEtv subsciptions now.

Perhaps offering the first month free right now will entice some 12 month subscriptions?

technically its not encrypted
they are just passing escaped strings to a javascript function.
Therefore the text isnt viewable in the source code for the page.

They are just escaping an unescaping the text so anyone could still break it (im not suggesting anyone does).
But anyway i hope this means more subscribers for Ice

whoops - too slow :D

The 'unofficial' XMLTV grabber has now been updated and works again.
