It's happened again: the only Recommended I'm seeing for the coming week is This Town (Coming Soon). However, New Shows says that This Town starts on Wed 22 Mar: it's in the current EPG, not "Coming Soon".

I've tried a swipe-down update of the app and Settings>Reset Application, and neither helps.

You can browse to TVH on your IceBox and change the recording location there.

http://[IceBox IP]:9981

Go into Configuration -> Recording -> (Default Profile) and change the "Storage path" under the "Filesystem Settings" to the location of your external HDD.

If you don't see that option, go into Config->General and set your "Default view level" to 'Expert".

I've given up trying to use my Synology NAS to increase space for recordings.  Not because of IceBox but a problem with Synology nfs shares. Therefore, I've purchased a 4Tb USB drive.  LibreElec automatically recognises the drive and mounts it to /var/media/TOSHIBA EXT.
Can anyone suggest how I can override this automatic behaviour and instead, mount it to /storage/recordings, please?

My recollection is that copying via SAMBA os quite swift, although I rarely use it (mainly because of flaky windows support for SMABA). I use SFTP most of the time, using various ftp clients, but mainly FileZilla. You need to enable SSH in KODI settings in the "services" tab, and set a password (not a good idea to disable password requirement).

I've never seen any issues, either with SAMBA, or speed of file transfer from IceBox BYO to a Windows 11 PC. I suspect cabling or this ->Mac<-.

If wireless, then a whole other story.

according to database history..
S4/E1 aired on the Gold Coast 14/09/23 (other regions 01/06/23)..can't explain the anomaly here....
S4/E2 aired 8/06/23
S4/E3 aired 15/06/23
and just to clarify...S3/E9 aired 23/05/23..not 24/05/23 (typing error) sorry.

Is Samba the only file transfer protocol  available for IceBox? Am I missing something in settings on IceBox or Mac/network?

I just use my Local Network. I found that ICEBOX appeared in the Network folder on my PC and when I opened it, I could see the Recordings folder.  The transfer was slowish, but much better than what you described.  About 4 hours to copy pretty much a Terabyte.
